Woody walking a fine line tonight.

The Twins have a great lineup. They are dangerous against any pitcher. Good to see Woody wiggle off the hook after getting slapped around a bit in this same exact spot his last couple outings, though.

Their lineup hasn't been that great this year. Lots of guys with an ops under .775going into tonight. Their third string catcher has a couple hits but really only Cruz and Kepler have had good years so far. Now it is better than the Brewers but that isn't saying much

9 hits and a walk in 5+ innings is just not ideal for your ace, good lineup or not. So far we have missed being stung by a big hit but Woody hasn’t been great. And he hasn’t been for 3 starts now. Need better out of our top guy.

By no means was Woodruff sharp, but he wasn’t exactly giving up rockets for hits. A lot of grounders and a fly ball into no mans land was pretty much a summation of his night.

Actually it was sort of both. It was a lot of grounders, but he was giving up some hard hit balls tonight. The Sano double was over 115-mph EV, and he gave up three other hits that had over 100 mph EV, including two to the guy making his debut tonight (Jeffers).

Not just “at Night” anymore.

If his last name wasn’t Woodruff people would be lighting up the board about his performances as of late. It’s okay to point out that he’s struggling. Hopefully, he will turn it around and start getting deeper in games too.

Awesome job by Freddy!

Yelich, Hiura, and then Smoak all had very hard hit balls in a row.

This has bugged me the entire series. Why do the twins have an entire section from left field wall all the way to the top of the stadium in the upper deck untapped compared to the rest of the outfield stands?

On Woodruff: I just thought the Twins showed awesome plate discipline tonight. Give 'em credit. Laid off a lot of close pitches.

He still doesn't throw strikes consistently enough.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave
