The Twins are 16-9, yet they've scored more than 4 runs just once in their past 10 games (last year they averaged 5.8 runs per game). The concern from their fan base is starting to sound very similar.

The shortened season certainly seems to amplify the cause for concern over short samples.

I’m hoping they just leave Braun leading off and get some stability going with the lineup. Doubtful it happens but I think it’s a reason for the inconsistency.

Sort of surprising to see how badly Berrios has struggled this year with walks given that he’s been one of the better pitchers in baseball the past couple of years and is still only in his mid-20s. Have to assume he’ll turn it around at some point, but hopefully that’s well after the Brewers have left town.

I am not at all opposed to Pina serving as the primary catcher, but I am surprised they didn't find a way to get Narvaez in the lineup as the DH today. He is the one player who has faced Berrios in 20+ plate appearances, and he has actually had some moderate success against him. In 22 at bats he's had a .769 OPS, including three doubles, which seems decent relative to how good of a pitcher Berrios has been the past couple of years.

Narvaez has been so bad I’m not sure his small sample against this pitcher really means much.

I thought it might be a good opportunity to get him going versus a pitcher he’s actually faced in the past, unlike many of the pitchers he’ll face in the NL Central this year. But I guess it’s a case of choose which small sample you want to put more stock in.

Gotta get Narvaez going at some point. He should play a key role in our offense eventually.

Off topic but have you guys seen this crazy stat about Mookie Betts? Unbelievable

There's someone else on that table.

I’m not shocked, he has been absolutely embarrassing this year. Really no excuse to be whiffing that much at fastball down the middle of the plate like he does.

I love being aggressive early in the count but I cannot stand rolling over on an off speed for an easy out. That’s just simply poor discipline and not having a plan.

Seems like the strike zone is as big as it’s ever been this season.
