Gotta move Hiura down in the order and possibly go as far as time off. He’s too young to just let him strikeout a bunch of times every game and expect it not to eventually affect him.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I woulda let Freddy pitch another inning or two. He's been pretty amazing tonight.

They wanted Williamsvto face the lefties.....can’t blame CC for that with how dominant his change up is.

Yeah, it made sense. Less a second guessing of strategy and more disappointment that I didn't get to see more Freddy.

Errors happen but come on. It’s like everything that can go wrong, will.

This bullpen would have been fun to watch over a full 162 games
"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

MLB really needs to think about changing the hit/error rules. Gamel shouldn't avoid an error because he didn't actually touch the ball.

This was worse because it hit his glove.

I didn't see that. It looked to me like a total whiff to me. Either way, my point still stands.

This is what happens when you pitch Hader once a week. Either way, he’s gotta get the job done here.
