They paid out the biggest contract by far in the team's history ... but sure, really stingy. :rolleyes

I think we all know what he meant...

Yeah, but I don't even think that's really correct, though. I mean, other than the 2019 offseason when they grabbed Grandal on an affordable 1-year deal and resigned Moose after his market fell apart on the eve of Spring Training, and I guess in 2018 when they signed Cain to that deal, have the Brewers ever really made much of a splash on the free agent market? It seems this team's MO is typically to search out guys who the market is not kind to, or guys no one else wants, and try to catch lightning in a bottle. This past offseason was a return to the norm more than anything. Signing Cain, and then Grandal and Moose last year kinda spoiled this fanbase, but I don't think that those sort of moves were ever going to be the norm.

When’s Braun back? Brewers need a 4-hole hitter.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

So ... is the Reds' pen the cure for this offense?

I think the Reds pen is the cure for everyone's offense.

Even if it’s just a one day thing it was the prescription the Brewers needed to salvage one game.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

For the season, Keston Hiura now has a 109 wRC+ and Christian Yelich has a 108 wRC+.

Both came into today as below average hitters this season, and leave it as above average hitters in 2020.

Edit: Coming into today Yelich was at 63 wRC+ and Hiura was at 81 wRC+.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Really glad the Brewers stayed away from Bumgarner.

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

His sinker and four seamer are both at 88-mph this year, pitches he was throwing 92-mph last season. It’ll be interesting to see if his velocity bounces back at some point.

Well he signed a 5 year deal so there's time :)

Lol... BrewCrewBall...

and Lorenzen was seen screaming something (most likely “FUN,” based on our analysis) into his glove as he left the field with the Reds trailing, 5-2.

Questions are a burden.   And answers a prison for one's self.
