2020-08-05: Brewers (Houser) at White Sox (Keuchel) [Brewers win, 1-0 -- Houser outstanding over 7.0 IP]

Eye Black
Counsell said he made the decision to give Yelich the day after last night's 0-for-3, 3K game. Said it was "obvious" decision. They had a productive conversation today.

I believe this is what someone meant when he said Yelich needs a day off. A game off, not a scheduled team day off. There is a difference.

Amazing how pathetic a lineup can look like when you remove just one regular.

Ladies and gentlemen, your 1999 Milwaukee Brewers.

Vina, Cirillo, Jenkins, Burnitz, Nilsson, Loretta, the '99 team had a great offense, it was their pitching that was awful. This lineup is 2002 territory.

Great is a bit of a stretch, but I get your point. I didn't want to insult this team quite yet using a Davey Lopes era lineup. It's possible they can still turn it around, but honestly I don't see it getting much better.

One irony of Ryon Healy batting lead-off is he’s one of the few hitters on the current roster that has struggled against Dallas Keuchel for his career (4-22, no extra base hits, 8 strikeouts).

Woof... That was a pretty sad AB.

Can we get Hernan, Jesus, and Domingo back? Maybe even Shaw.

I know a lot of people here are sick of the nostalgia for the 1982 Brewers, but I might take them right now at their current ages over this lineup.
