Braun could be 80 years old and I’d want him at the plate with 2 outs needing runs.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Reds attempting to mount a huge rally against Kimbrel in the 9th. Bases loaded with one out, currently 8-5 Cubs.

Thanks for the tip, turned it on in time to see him hit a guy to make it 8-6

Now 8-6. Kimbrel has 3 walks and an HBP so far. Stephenson is making his MLB debut and already has a HR and a single, and is now up.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Coming into last season I thought the Brewers had a chance to have one of the top 2 or 3 offenses in the NL, but getting less than nothing from Shaw and Aguilar and Cain’s rough season dragged them down to the middle of the pack.

With the collection of journeymen they’re throwing out there this year I don’t see them being in the top 10 scoring teams in the league, even when Yelich and Hiura start hitting. Too many major holes in the lineup.

And it’s not like they have the pitching to bail out a weak offense.

Last year we had three holes (SS, 3B, CF) plus the pitcher spot. We should likely see improvement from all three of those spots, plus the DH.

I think the numbers support our offense having fewer holes in 2020 than in 2019.
