Houser coming back out, Brault is out.

Surprised they’re sticking with Houser after that long of a delay. Maybe because he only threw one inning and 13 pitches they felt they could keep him ready. Will be interesting how long he lasts from here.

Up 0-2 on Reynolds and then 4 straight balls. Hope Houser doesn’t have an long inning here after the delay.

Edit: That went about as well as we could have hoped!

I don’t think I’d hesitate to get some lefty bats into the game. The Pirates only have two LHRPs and Kuhl is much, much worse against left handed hitters (.877 OPS vs LHH for his career). Granted, he hasn’t pitched in MLB since 2018.

It’d be great to still get 4 innings from Houser.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Haven’t seen it mentioned yet, but Wade Miley with a very rough start with the Reds tonight. He was pulled in the 2nd inning after getting tagged for 6 runs (5 earned).

The Reds are going to be that team that tries to win a championship in the offseason and fall woefully short when it actually matters.
