RIP Bo Black

Bo Black died today at 74. She was best known as the Executive Director of Summerfest for many years. The festival and grounds really grew in quality under her leadership. She was also married to former Brewers skipper Tom Trebelhorn.

 

In a city without many celebrities, Bo Black was a pretty big deal.

 

If you enjoy Summerfest, she is as responsible as anyone for making it what it is.

Wasn’t she also the announcer for the short-lived in-between-innings commentary on the video board that the Brewers tried, probably like a decade ago? It could be longer than that. I think it happened shortly after Schlesinger joined the Brewers.

 

Edit: I remembered the person I was thinking of was Sandy Maxx. It looks like she was the in-game announcer for the Brewers in 2005.

Not sure if it’s what you’re thinking of but she was on a short lived TV show around that time called “the Don & Bo Show.”
