I can't read the bloomberg info as it's pay - but I can just say that my wife's organization is frustrated. The feeling is that the rural and poor areas are bypassed for the bigger cities. My wife's org can't fill all the 2nd vaccines that they are supposed to dispense this week. Immensely frustrating. Shouldn't happen.

That's going on in pretty much every state (feelings that rural areas aren't getting enough in favor of the bigger cities).

And also you have The WHO throwing a fit because "rich" countries are "hoarding" vaccines over other countries.

South Africa is halting its rollout of the AstraZeneca-University of Oxford Covid-19 vaccine, the country’s minister of health said Sunday, following a new analysis that suggests the shot “provides minimal protection” against mild disease caused by the new coronavirus variant circulating in South Africa.

So it provides protection against death and severe disease but not mild disease?

It's a completely miserable experience.

COVID, or being on the phone with the Health Department for an hour?

Why not both?

lol

I've been having to fill out symptom surveys twice a day on top of this. My attention span is getting taxed right now.

Thankfully, I found that my workplace is basically giving me free Covid days off, so I don't have to burn PTO when I'm not feeling well. Definitely use those.

Questions are a burden.   And answers a prison for one's self.

It's the law, they have to give you paid time off for Covid, FWIW.

Think I'm slowly on the mend. Been 2 weeks and 2 days now. Plan to test again Monday. Actually eating a Jimmy Johns which is the first real meal I've eaten in 2 weeks.

Wife says I look "skinny".

Curious why you plan on testing again. What type of test?

Just get better. I hope you don't end up with any lingering effects. Good luck and take care.

Got my first vaccine, Moderna, last week. One month until round 2 and a sense of relief.

That's great. I'm always happy for people to get the vaccine. My wife has gotten her's - both shots. Makes me feel better. I'm a ways away from be eligible. I'm hoping by May. I want to be able to get out and enjoy things with the family this summer.

Thx Reilly

I'm slowly getting better. Been 3 weeks since I first got it. Took a Covid test Monday and it came back "inconclusive". Must not have jabbed it up my nose far enough. Took another today.

Also have a regularly scheduled doctor appt tomorrow. They'll probably just consider me over it.

Even being over the worst, I'll probably be weak for awhile. At least I'm eating again.

One of my child's teammates is unfortunately in the long hauler category. They are still feeling weak and haven't successfully tested negative since late November. They have an offer out to play D3 athletics, so hopefully it *eventually mitigates.

Got my second vaccine dose (Phizer) yesterday. A few mild body aches, and my arm is a little sore. Feel a little run down, but otherwise fine. My wife has a headache this morning, but is otherwise fine. If this is all we have to deal with to be protected, and to do our part in getting things back to semi-normal, it's a very small price to pay IMO.

My wife and I are both teachers. She got her 2nd shot last week, I'm still waiting for my 1st... My district says after March 1st.

My wife had a headache for 2 days after her 1st shot, and only a sore arm after her 2nd. (Phizer)

Hope you can get yours very soon, Turbo. My biggest fear is that vaccine skepticism is going to cause a major delay in things returning to normal. In northern Wisconsin there are a lot of people it seems that don't trust the vaccine, or science for that matter. That in part may be why my wife and I were able to get in as early as we did - less competition. I have a chronic medical condition, and she is a teacher, but I don't know if we technically should have been up quite yet. I certainly wasn't going to say no when the clinic called to schedule us, though.

I would definitely advocate that everyone get it when they can, though. Stubbornness only means that you are prolonging your chance of getting severely ill, and prolonging restrictions being lifted.

I have a little skin sensitivity now that I didn't have earlier this morning. Nothing terrible by any means, just a tad uncomfortable. Also still tired.

I wish there were a single spot to sign up

This. I have a chronic condition with treatments that affects my immune system. I live in rural community and work from home so the only information I've been able to find is "wait for general public availability". It's frustrating that I avoid visiting family and friends because that is safe but watch people congregate in large numbers in the cities and hear about coworkers taking out of state trips.
