Because they understand so many families are struggling right now amidst the pandemic, MLB has partnered with DirecTV to bring you out-of-market games free of charge for 2020.

Haha, just kidding of course. It's actually a worse per-game value than it would have been for just a normal season. Got to make up that lost revenue from fanless stadiums somehow.

I'm not convinced your joke wouldn't actually be a great idea. I don't care what anyone says, a lot of people are still extremely bored despite things reopening to some degree. There aren't even new movies playing for the most part. I don't know their financials but I would guess that they don't make so much money from this at $60 a pop that it would create some insurmountable loss. This is a dream season for experimentation. At least try offering it for $10 or something and see what happens.

I'm considering doing this again. $30 a month for three months isn't too terrible. After going this long without sports, it will be a godsend.

Actually, MLB.tv is cheaper at $59.99 for the season. And if you want to stream only one team's games, it's $49.99 for the season.

I just bought a brand new Roku, and I get 200 Mbps internet via Spectrum. I think MLB.tv is a good choice again.

Is the free mlb.tv still happening for SSH even though there's no ticketed season?

Oooooh, good question! I hadn't thought about that!

My wife and I cut Extra Innings out of our budget for the first time this spring, since SSH got mlb.tv for free. We were eagerly anticipating and wondering how good it would be. It'll be a shame if, on July 24th, we suddenly don't have access. Good thing there are a couple games on July 23rd! (although, they're probably both nationally televised games and won't be on the mlb.tv)

I may have to contact someone about this.

Confirmed SSH will still get out of market games. My rep mentioned he'd checked with his boss as to getting around the local blackouts since no fans can attend, but no dice there.

It is called a VPN.

For the $60 do you get every game, or would you lose the National TV games?
