jake faria, eric lauer, angel perdomo and bobby wahl are the only non-injured list pitchers at the alternate training site with major league experience. lauer and wahl can be recalled at any point, and faria can have his contract selected at any point. perdomo was optioned on 23 august and must stay on optional assignment for at least 10 days, barring an injury.

Nice to see Francis getting the invite. Only really leaves Lazar from that tier of pitching prospects not at the camp. He's also the last of the group that I'd give even a 10% chance of getting added to the 40-man at season's end to get the call (Feliciano, Brown, File, Bettinger, Henry and Francis).

Surprised Hummel and Spanberger were not added. Both of them are rule V eligible so you would think they would see how they do on the alternate team. Of the pitchers, I think Webb is the only rule V eligible pitcher who would be a considered add at the end of the season and is not on the 60 man roster. Brown, Bettinger, File, and now Bowden are all getting a look.

It’s encouraging that the Brewers think highly enough of 2019 7th round selection Gabe Holt to add him to the player pool. He’s had limited game experience since turning pro, so this would seem to indicate the Brewers front office considers him a legitimate prospect.
Not just “at Night” anymore.

billy mckinney claimed off waivers from the blue jays and optioned to the alternate training site in grand chute.

ray black has been activated from the 45-day injured list, returning him to the club player pool.

to make room in the cpp for black and mckinney, the brewers designated ronny rodriguez and trey supak for assignment.

the cpp remains at 59.
