I wonder which game is going to get flexed into Sunday night. There isn't going to be an obvious one this year.

I guess the NFC east isn't playing for a division championship that doesn't affect anyone else because they all suck? That seems like the go to Sunday night week 17 game in recent years. They wouldn't flex Bears/Packers because other games affect their scenarios, correct?

Maybe whichever east team has a win and in scenario. No other NFL game has a game where the 2 teams are fighting each other. I guess that might be Washington. Giants cowboys both need Washington to lose so if they win early it would put that game as moot.

I'm thinking Packers/Bears is quite possible. Packers likely playing for a 1 seed, Bears likely playing for a playoff spot, plus an old school rivalry matchup. Does anyone really care who wins the NFC East?

Likely is the keyword that probably prevents it from being chosen. They generally only like to pick a game for Week 17 SNF when a playoff spot will definitely be on the line. If they pick Packers/Bears and the Cardinals lose the Bears clinch before the game starts and the game doesn't mean much. I'm guessing the SNF game will be Washington/Eagles. If Washington wins, they're in, if not, whoever wins between Cowboys and the Giants are in, no way for that to be spoiled before kick off.

Yeah. Our game could mean nothing by kickoff, plus I don't know if our playing tonight could effect that anyway. The afc playoff picture is a mess, but I don't think there's one game you could pick that couldn't be locked up by the time they play.

But having Bears/Packers on isn't bad anyway. Both are probably playoff-bound and it's a rivalry game.

The game will be tough because it's the Bears, but I'm not buying the 3 game winning streak. They lost to the Packers, then Lions, and beat Vikings, Texans, and Jaguars. No real world-beaters (nor playoff teams) in that group.
