Saints are kind of a bunch of douche nozzles.

Any attempt to humiliate the Minnesota Vikings is exempt from douche nozzleism.

Yeah, if it’s the Vikings on the receiving end, the rules of engagement are pretty much always “terminate with extreme prejudice.” It would have been nice to guarantee better seeding, but Packers can take care of their own business. Unless it gets the Packers to the playoffs, I can’t really root for Minnesota under any other circumstances.

I was initially hoping the Vikings would upset the Saints, but as soon as it was apparent that the Vikings (at least defensively) have already cashed their offseason checks, I wanted to see them demolished. What an embarrassing performance with the whole country watching! I really haven't heard much about Zimmer being on the hot seat, but perhaps he should be. I get that they've had some injuries, but he's supposedly a defensive mastermind, and that Vikings defense is utter garbage.

I had a similar thought last night about Zimmer. Checked-out performances like that get coaches fired. Honestly, I think he’s the best Vikings coach they’ve had in a decade or two, so it’d be prime Vikings to can him....

The current Vikings' debacle is a product of their GM not being able to draft good offensive linemen to save his life, and their defense getting old in the tooth over the past couple years. Their roster has big talent gaps in the trenches on both sides of the ball, and their salary cap situation means no quick fixes are on the horizon.

In short, its a great time to be a packer fan living in mn!

I believe their gm and zimmer both got extensions this past offseason, too....guessing the proper decision should have been to can the gm and play this year with Zimmer in limbo, but they actually had expectations of contending this year - now its probably more likely both get canned.

Also, I totally get the Saints just curb stomping the vikes when they get that opportunity considering some of the recent playoff losses they've had against them.

I got into an argument a few days ago with a Vikings fan. My argument was they should have taken Cesar Ruiz instead of Jefferson. Yeah, Jefferson is good. He's flashy. But that team is going to be trash as long as they continue to either miss on their line picks, or ignore the trenches entirely. Arguably a stud guard would have been better fit and bigger need than a #2 WR.

Frankly, I'm amazed that Zimmer has lasted this long. Good defensive coaches really don't make good HC in this day and age. This era is all about the offense and Zimmer's staff has been a joke on the offensive side. Look at the job the Packers did to patch up their OL and still play compared to what the Vikings have done for years (our OL with Linsley out isn't far off the talent of the Vikings). Their OC turn-table has been hilarious to watch... they put together some games, but often fall on their face. Honestly, a MLF-type coach or OC would fit their QB-WR-TE-RB combo very well - but they chose to go with 1990's rehashed offense with Kubiak.

Personally, I hope they keep Zimmer as I don't see them getting over the hump with him. But if they fire him, sign me up to bring him on as DC!

Vikings need to start thinking about drafting a QB. Cousins isn't mobile at all and he'll be 33 before next season. They should have burned it all to the ground and traded Cook.

In MN, there was massive optimism going into this year. I was highly dubious as they did lose a LOT of players - plus Hunter's neck issue (which wasn't apparent until the regular season) and that DT who opted out of the season.

But I'm still shocked they weren't more competitive; especially with Jefferson coming on like he did. I really think the locker room is blowing up and Diggs looks smart now. Generally, those are signs of the coach losing the team...then losing his job.

Dare Ogunbowale trying to give Lawrence back to the Jets.

Jets aren’t havin it...

I'm really not surprised. Between the Browns having virtually no receivers and the Jets having been somewhat competitive lately, I could easily see the Jets winning this one. I had the Browns this week in my eliminator challenge and changed it to the Bears.

I don't know what jax was trying to do after they picked off trubiskey in the end zone with 24 seconds left, but all of it was bad.

Mahomes just threw a pick!

He threw three two weeks ago. The Chiefs are winning, but they certainly haven't looked like the mortal lock Super Bowl favorites most people think they are, and against far inferior teams too. If they continue to play like that in the playoffs, they won't even make it to the Super Bowl. And if we do face them in February, I like are chances much more than I did a month ago.

There was a period of 6 or 7 years where Aaron Rodgers was clearly the best player in the NFL, but he didn’t win the MVP award every year because other top tier players turned in monster individual seasons. In this case, Patrick Mahomes is clearly the best player in the NFL, but Rodgers might have the numbers to win the award.
