So, Dallas needs the win, they have to have a TD to stay in this thing. 1st and goal at the one. McCarthy just blasts away with Zeke up the middle at point blank range. Three. Straight. Times. Stuffed.

He finally throws it to Cooper on 4th down and gets a TD, but before that, I have just this visceral experience of intense, nightmarish memory. I reflexively started looking for things to throw at the TV, then remembered it’s just the Cowboys, and nobody really cares...

Vander Esch running around the field like a blind dog in a meat house. He knows someone has the ball,. He just doesn't know who.

I thought this dude was a Urlacher like Backer after his rookie year(with Leonard being a Brooks type). I don't know what's happened to him.

And the '72 Dolphins breathe a sigh of relief.

As does the FIRST undefeated NFL team, the '29 Packers. Or...rather they would breathe a sigh of relief, but I don't think any are still breathing. Still...12 wins, 0 losses, 22 points given up all season.

Can you get that DC on the phone?

I'll give it a try...but at this point, I'm willing to go with pretty much anyone other than who we've got. Not since Mike Sherman was out GM have I been more convinced we've got the wrong person in the wrong job.

Now that this week is over, hopping over to Standings and there are a whopping 11! Teams at 8-4 or better with 4 games to play. That's unusual right? Always felt like it was 2-3 teams from a conference that had chances at 12wins or better to finish a season. Like 12-4 would be at least a 2seed on most occasions. Is there any historical feat by this year's 11 teams record 4games or more above .500 after week 13?

Mahomes with 2 interceptions already. I really like the guy, but he needs to come back down to Earth for Rodgers to win one last MVP award.

I'd trade the MVP for the Super Bowl win in a heartbeat.

Oh no doubt. If I’m being objective, Mahomes is no worse than prime (2009-2014) Aaron Rodgers. He might even be better. But knowing Mahomes has a better roster around him, my heart is pulling for Rodgers.

What a dumb third down play by the Vikings. They were better served just running the ball to set up a field goal, make it a one score game and move on from there. Instead they risked a second quarterback sack to try and get a 20 yard score and that's exactly what happened, knocking them out of field goal position, at least for Blair Walsh.

Sorrry, Dan Bailey. Vikings kickers are that forgettable.

What a weird final play by the nines. Obviously a bunch of laterals that get a td is a super super long shot, but its got a better chance than what Aiyuk tried to do, which was basically run around a lot get trapped on the sideline and then finally lateral it to another player trapped on the sideline.

*disclaimer, I did have Washingtons defense and was hoping for a fumble recovery on a failed lateral.

I'll admit I liked seeing Washington KO the Niners and that smug Shanahan.

On another note I have always kind of liked Rivera. He has been through a lot and has kind of a Andy Reid vibe.

SF was a really good team a year ago that was absolutely destroyed by injuries this year. I was worried they'd get healthy at the right time and be a nightmare in the playoffs. Glad they're gone.
