2020 Miscellaneous NFL News

homer

Growing up in Illinois (even in the Favre years) makes it easy to hate the Bears, and if you’d have asked me when I was in school what team I hated most, the Bears would have won that hands down, mostly thanks to their fans (and Brian expletive Urlacher). But when I became a man, it was time to put aside childish things, and now the Vikings have their proper place.

Honorable mentions go to Seattle and San Francisco. Beating the Cowboys like a rented mule the last decade or so definitely brings down the hate-o-meter on them, I’d also add.

I'm thinking most of the Bear's hate comes from the 80's when there were a lot of dirty plays and cheap shots going on (on both sides). But I wanted the Packers to draft Urlacher, so I don't really hate him (but hated playing against him). And I really respected Payton and Singletary. Of course, most of WI's population is closer to Chicago also.

But I grew up near Superior, WI and only had Duluth TV stations. So it was Vikings all the time. The sports announcer on the news wouldn't even mention the Packers unless they played the Vikings. Stores would rarely even sell Packer gear. Thus, it always has and will be the Vikings (despite living in MN right now.... :( )

And after watching the Saints/Bears game, I completely forgot about Sean Payton... I don't like the Saints exclusively for him. It was hard cheering for New Orleans to win.

I hear you on Duluth TV. Pretty much sucked back then.

I'd go to a bar to watch the Packers, and loads of Minnesotans would come in to ruin it for the rest of us.

Questions are a burden.   And answers a prison for one's self.

Really questionable TD for Gronk and they're not even going to look at it?
All scoring plays are looked at.

There's a difference between a quick cursory "yeah he caught it" and an actual review of the play. They did not actually review the play.

Daniel Jones just plain sucks. Two of the worst interceptions I've seen in a long time. The Giants are outplaying the Bucs and will probably miss out on the upset because of him. Gettleman should be fired for drafting him.

He made a couple really nice throws, but he sure is all over the place. Some passes way over thrown, some way under.

Back to the dumpster fire of Dallas. Wentz commits four turnovers and Dallas scores three field goals the entire game.

Agreed. Which is why the more appropriate OP grammar should be "field review" and not "looked at", imho. Otherwise I question whether you are knowledgeable and make unworthily attempts to educate.

I thought the intent of my question was rather obvious but I will try this again for the sake of clarity.

Really questionable TD for Gronk and they're not even going to conduct an official review of the play in question?
