Did McCarthy bring Capers with him to Dallas?

As a Dak Prescott fantasy owner, I am loving their sieve-like D.

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

Watching this Bears Colts game and wow is Phillip Rivers old and bad. They have a great D though....or maybe the Bears O just stinks. Hard to say.

The Bears are about to drop to 3-1, but it looks like they are probably the worst team in this division. If not for some late game collapses by other bad opponents and a freak drop in the end zone, they would be 0-4.

I didn't even realize that most stadiums are allowing fans in the stadium in some capacity at this point. Like, I would say at least half of teams. I thought it was just 2 or 3 right now but it's quite a few more.

If Doug Pederson was smart he would have called play-action on that 2:01 play. 49ers would never have seen it coming and no matter what happened the clock would have stopped after the play for the 2 minute warning

Instead, he runs it for a yard, quick 3 and out, and the 49ers will have one more shot to win.

If I was Trevor Lawrence and the Jets do indeed get the #1 overall pick in the draft, I would pull an Elway/Eli.

I’ve got soccer on my mind because I just finished the first season of Ted Lasso on Apple TV, but the Jets are the reason the NFL should consider relegation. Otherwise, there’s no punishment for teams being badly mismanaged. They still make loads of cash. Oh, you drafted a quarterback #3 overall and that didn’t work out? Here’s the #1 overall pick. I’m only half joking.

Relegate to where, the XFL?

This will never, ever happen - but here you go: Add two teams to get to 34. Split the teams into two 17-team leagues (A and B). Each league plays a 16-game schedule by playing every opponent once. Worst 2 teams in the A-league get relegated. Best 2 teams in the B-league get promoted. Only the A-league teams are eligible for the playoffs and prime time TV slots. The A-league teams receive 60% of the TV revenue, while the B-league team’s receive 40% of the TV revenue.

B League teams have advantage in draft. They get two picks before an A team ever gets a selection. That would equate to basically two first rounders to help build their teams.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I think it is a real battle for worst team in the division. All of those team's wins have come right at the end against poor competition. When they have played good teams they havent looked like they belonged. Both the Bears and Vikings got handled by the Colts. Both the Lions and Vikings got handled by the Packers. The Lions easily have the most impressive win but that was against a Cardinals team that may not be very good. Outside of the Cardinals those three teams have beat winless Houston, winless New York Giants, and winless Atlanta. Not very impressive.

The Viking's offense looks to be turning a corner but I still dont see them being able to play well from behind. That offensive line cant pass protect and their defense is not good. The Lions are terrible on defense and their offense just isnt consistent enough to make up for it. The Bears offense is really bad. Allen Robinson is good and that is about it.

The 49ers are the latest example of why you should never buy anyone's spiel when they're telling you a team is "set up to dominate for 4-6 years." Their season is in no way over, but we had people talking like they didn't even have to play the regular season. It almost never works out that way.

Injuries suck

I agree but lets be fair they lost their qb, top 2 rbs, top 2 wrs, and their all pro TE was out for a while and his backup got hurt. On defense they two great defensive lineman and have two others hurt. One of their top cbs is also hurt. I dont know a single team that could not be seriously affected. I actually think how competitive their team has been is a testament to why people said this team is set up to dominate for 4-6 years. Imagine what the Packers would look like with similar injuries.

Well we have lost our best defender, our best inside linebacker, #2 receiver, a starting offensive lineman, and now 2 games of our top receiver. I wouldn't say we've gotten off easy.
