Long has already been removed from their cap projections except for his $1.5 million dead cap number.

Floyd would create space, but a lot is waiting on how the Graham contract is structured, which hasn't been released yet to my knowledge.

Shouldn't matter now as the Bears just signed Quinn.

5/$70 million

Bridgewater to the Panthers well almost. Also I don't see how the Panthers will be able to trade Newton at least for anything valuable.

I think the Panthers will just release him in a few weeks.

Brees back to the Saints as everyone expected. Littleton to the Raiders.

The Quinn deal with the Bears is odd, as was the Graham deal. It's basically double the money he was expected to get, and triple the guaranteed money. He was obviously great for the Rams early in his career, but tapered significantly before having a rebound in Dallas last year, where even there he graded out as just above-average. He may do well opposite Mack, but if he goes back to being a 5-6 sack guy that plays poorly against the run, this was an odd way for the Bears to use almost all of their cap space.

Interestingly, Leonard Floyd grades out as a good run defender off the Edge. I'm sure the plan is to use Gary more this year with Fackrell's departure, but a guy like Floyd might be an interesting lower-cost option to improve the run defense....

The chatter from Panther fans on Facebook are more pro Newton versus Bridgewater saying that Teddy doesnt make them feel like the Panthers any more.

I get the premise of wanting an identity but the Panthers were 29-35 the last 4 years. Is it worth wanting to keep your identity with that record?

Nick Foles to the Bears for a 4th.

Well they are all in. Upgrade from Beer Chugger.

Are they paying his whole salary?

The ESPN article says that the Jags will have to absorb 18.75 million in dead money. Not sure if they are paying that portion of his salary or if that's just the cap hit.

I couldn't care less about the Bears getting Foles. That's the kind of move I'd like to see them keep doing. Continually signing retreads as it will probably keep them from being seriously good but not bad enough to actually draft a top guy.

yeah you would thing that you would try to tank to get a young QB, rather than doing what they are doing this offeason.

They've traded away a lot of their draft capital which would allow them to potentially draft a difference maker. Part of that is the 4 picks they traded to move up one spot in the draft to acquire their bridge quarterback between Mike Glennon and Nick Foles.

I just looked up the actual Trubisky trade, Kamara was used on one of those picks. ouch.
