Australian Rules Football

Oxy

Season is scheduled to start on March 19th. Anybody want to follow it? I think I've seen maybe 45 minutes of the sport in my life, but I am addicted enough to sports that I might foster an appreciation in the coming weeks.

I'm not even much of a gambler.

I love Aussie Rules Football. I watched quite a bit of it during my time in the Army since I was working with some Australians who explained it to me. Once you get the rules down, the game opens up quite a bit. I have a great appreciation for these guys. More running than soccer, big hits (no pads) like football and lots of skill/strategy. The stamina required goes for everyone since every position has to run. Can't go wrong for following this sport. Go Roos!

How is pretty much every other sport in the world cancelled but this isn't?

They banned fans and shortened the season.

There's one dude who self isolated with symptoms and if he is positive they are going to re-think things.

Edit: Guess he's all clear.
