Diamond Mind Baseball Leagues

ecjimg

Anyone else play in Diamond Mind computer baseball leagues? I somehow find myself running the 2 leagues that I have been in for years.......and both need new managers. The games are played by the commissioner after managers submit lineups from their teams that use the previous seasons stats............

I can send more info to anyone that is interested. If you arent already in DMB leagues (and have the software) youd have to buy the software and the season.

Yes sir! Our League (PITCH League Baseball) has been in operation since 1989, when we used the Pursue the Pennant board game. We moved to Diamond Mind in 1995 or so and haven't looked back since.

The only problem is that because many league members now have families and kids, the league has kind of slowed down to a crawl. We finished up the off-season (trades, free agency, drafts, etc.) for the 2016 season (based on 2015 MLB) last summer but we haven't touched it since because of other commitments. We still play but it's not like the old days.

I could possibly be persuaded to join your league. Go ahead and send me some info and I'll take a look.

We started with Status Pro, switched to Pursue the Pennant and now play Diamond Mind. National League only, but you don't lose a player because he goes to the other league. Originally we got together at a friends house and played on Wednesday night. Still play on Wednesday nights at a local school. Not as many die-hards, but the league continues. We are currently finishing the 2018 season. Will start the 2019 next September. The group was comprised originally by people that were in an AL only. Same issues with people gaining commitments, moving, etc.

Somewhat funny story - back in the old days after we played a series we had to compile the stats and then send them to the commissioner. What a pain. I was kicked out of the league one year for failure to get my stats done. Pursue the pennant is so much nicer. Click, click, click and stats compiled.

I am not interested in joining another league, but would encourage anyone not in a league like this or a rotisserie league to join one. The things I like best is all the research I do prior to the draft and the camaraderie with other like minded people. That research and Brewerfan are my 2 biggest source of baseball knowledge.
