"We're back in Arizona at the Brewers Spring Training facility with Hayden Cantrelle for instructs. Hayden takes us along during his days full of practice, training, games, and of course, MEALS. We meet fellow Brewers prospects OF Joey Wiemer and IF Zavier Warren. Plus Hayden talks us through his nightly routine that helps him practice his positioning and form."

Earlier videos from this series --

"21 year old Brewers Prospect, Hayden Cantrelle, who's playing indy ball this summer in Joliet, IL. Hayden takes us through his movement prep and routine before games. Plus we see the struggle of playing independent league baseball like batting practice with only two balls and partially living out of cars."

"This week we're in Lafayette, LA after Indy Ball wraps up for the season. Hayden takes BP with Cardinals Prospect Todd Lott and live at bats with Texas A&M commit Grant Fontenot. After getting their practice in on the field Todd and Hayden head to the gym to get their off-field training in."

"Hayden has a late-night BP in Louisiana before heading to Arizona for instructs with the Brewers. Once he arrives in AZ we see the good old COVID spit test that we've come to know and love. Hayden holes up in his hotel as the players are required to quarantine before gameplay can begin!"

If you speak Spanish, enjoy this new interview with talented RHP Miguel Sanchez, who was a big league camp invite in 2020, and a prospect favorite of many in the Brewer community. He made his pro debut at age 22 and shares his unique baseball journey here.

It is true that at YouTube, you can click on Settings --> Subtitles, and choose English, but it's a wild ride if you are looking for a direct translation.

Thursday 12/10:

Via BJ and the Bear on WSCO: "Rob Zerjav (President of Wisconsin Timber Rattlers) discusses the Timber Rattlers move to High-A and the excitement to get minor league baseball back in the Fox Cities!

Not Brewer-specific, but the best review available of the big MiLB shuffle -

Via the Baseball America Podcast: "J.J. Cooper joins Kyle Glaser to discuss MLB's reorganization of the minors and the 119 teams it invited to be a part of the new player development system. They discuss what still remains before the teams become official, who the 120th team will be and what's next for the 43 teams who weren't invited moving forward."

For those interested in more general discussion on the MiLB reorganization here is another good option...

Effectively Wild Episode 1628: What MLB’s Remaking of the Minors Means

At the 15:04 minute mark they bring on Baseball America executive editor J.J. Cooper to talk about the ongoing overhaul of the minor leagues, the history of the relationship between the majors and minors, why MLB sought to consolidate its control over amateur ball and the minor leagues, the impact of the pandemic, the pending improvements in conditions for minor leaguers, the virtues of amateur ball versus affiliated ball, minor league owners as sympathetic figures, how the 120 affiliated teams were determined, efficiency vs. access to the sport, and whether baseball will be better or worse off in the long run.

Not just “at Night” anymore.
