Recorded just before MLB / MiLB camps closed, here's a full 90 minute podcast interview with Brewers' Cooper Hummel, who posted a fantastic .835 OPS in the restrictive Southern League offensive environment last summer.

Fun tour of his baseball life, from spending two years of his youth in Japan tossing the baseball on netted rooftops (really), to growing up in Oregon and being a huge Mariners fan to this day, his tenure at the University of Portland, the story of listening to the entire 2016 draft but managing to hear all the picks but his own (18th round), and of course his journey through the Crew's system thus far, including the interesting way his career morphed from catcher to outfielder.

Now 25 years old, the well-spoken Hummel makes for a nice listen for Brewers diehards needing to fill time until ball starts again. The pro portion of his career chat makes up the final half-hour or so, but the whole podcast is worth your time.

Via Greg Mroz (former voice of the Helena Brewers) - Brewers outfield prospect Je'Von Ward discusses his experience with the Covid 19 shutdown, his career thus far, memories of Kobe Bryant, and some of his favorite minor league road trips.

Fun chat, 2020 is Ward's 4th pro season, he won't turn 21 until October!

Fantastic extended interview with well-spoken Brewers RH reliever Luke Barker, 28 years old but had a delayed intro to pro ball. Has excelled in 175 innings w/Crew (2.21 ERA, 0.97 WHIP). Hopefully on MLB summer taxi squad; should be a 40-man add this fall.

This video is a deep dive into pitching mechanics and philosophies with current Brewer farmhand Nick Belzer,24, who was signed out of the independent American Association (St. Paul Saints) last June.

While at Maryvale, pitching against yes, younger competition, Belzer's game logs indicate he was an innings horse for Maryvale's Blue squad, and had three scoreless outings of at least six innings. A couple of late-season rougher appearances dropped his debut ERA to 3.70 over 48.2 innings. Too bad Belzer didn't get a taste of Pioneer or Midwest League action in 2019.

At the 18:15 minute mark, Belzer's discussion with host Chris Piteo turns to the topic of the change-up, and at the 19:30 minute mark, Belzer discusses the quick change-up benefit derived from his visit to the Brewers special pitching lab.
