If you haven't noticed I like age appropriate athletes who haven't hit a wall in their development yet. I do not think relievers are top 25 worthy unless I see them being special. I believe most MLB relievers are MiLB starters who faltered on their path to develop a starters pitch mix. IE: Bettinger and Francis are more likely to be relievers at the MLB level than Andrews Devin Wahl etc. All in all I really like the MKE farm system even if it's not regarded well by the pundits. There's a lot of lottery ticket type position players and advanced quality arms in this system. You don't need to hit them all, you need to hit a few real well. The athletes they have piled up in the OF is quite absurd.

PS: Tell me if I missed something obvious.

13. Max Lazar: Low ceiling. Suter part 2?

So far, Lazar has a much higher K rate than Suter did.

Lazar's K rate at A-ball last year was very similar to Mike Fiers (12.4 for Lazar, 12.0 for Fiers, 8.4 for Suter), if you're looking for a high 80's FB comp.

I'm pretty sure Fiers was always a 91-94 guy in the minors.

It is just really really tuff to be a successful big league right hander throwing 87-88. I hope I am wrong on Lazar.

6'3" 185 can turn into 6'3" 200 pretty quickly. A little added muscle and weight can add speed and endurance. Not saying it happened, but I am sure he is doing everything he can to improve.

I know he didn’t come up in the Brewers system, but what about Davies as a comp?

Because Fiers was 24 when he was drafted, it's hard to make apples to apples comparisons between the two. Lazar can throw harder than 87-88, though. He can run it up mid-low 90's easily, but stays high 80's because of how well the fastball plays (particularly up). It's just about getting command consistency with his breaking pitches, which are already very good. And, as previously mentioned, being 20 years old and weighing probably 170 pounds leaves a ton of room for projectability. Davies nor Fiers had that high of a ceiling, imo. I liken him more to Freddy Peralta at a similar age, but with much better control.
