Fun season. Hopefully, they have a vision and the decision making ability to take this team up another notch and get back to this position next season. So many variables every season. Need to continue to stack talented players all throughout their roster and hopefully our coach will grow and learn lessons from this season.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

All in all despite the poor performance tonight. The Packers had a helluva season. Not disappointed at all.

I think the thing that bugs me the most is that somehow through 18 games they never even had a good performance this season. They had a lot of uglies and a lot of great halves, but never a great, complete game. They had things to clean up all year and despite the record most of it just never really got cleaned up.

@Minn and SEA were pretty good by any measure. Sloppy start in Minny but they dominated a good team, on the road, with a lot on the line. Last week was their best game of the year. The scores were never impressive because their offense was just not explosive at all. Not at all.

If anything bugged me it's that their offense never seemed to improve one iota. It was the same sloppy product from Week 1 on.

Well last week the defense gave up three straight TD's in the second half, in retrospect that should have been a red flag for this weeks outlook.

Seattle was a good team and Wilson is a magician. That game never felt safe to me. The narrative of the Packers "not beating anyone" died last week for me. At some point 14 wins are 14 wins. SF is better, but the Packers proved they were the NFC runner up. They beat Minnesota twice and took out Seattle. In the end they were a top 5 team. I don't think they were on a KC/BAL/SF level but they got where they did by being good.

A Kansas City/San Fran Super Bowl could very well be one hell of a game.

Agreed. Opening line is Chiefs - 1.5

Pack need to replace Fackler, Martinez, and Lancaster. I think Sternberger becomes a decent weapon on offense and then they need at least one more WR either through draft or FA.

Fackrell is perfect as a backup edge player. He gives great effort and is all over the field. He isn't going anywhere. They need more from Gary, though. He needs to be a situational pass rush weapon. Showed flashes, but not enough of them.

Martinez is fine if you can stack a speed 'backer next to him. Lancaster is a space eater, and that's it. He's replaceable.

On a positive note, that Packers +8 was rhe easiest money I ever made.

I started Mostert in DraftKings. So there's that.

He won my fantasy league for me.

NFC runner up or not, they proved twice not to be anywhere near the 49ers level.

The gap between these two teams is enormous and not likely to be overcome next year. To be clear, this game was not even as close at the 17 point deficit would indicate. Jimmy G through 8 passes tonight. 8. We knew they were going to run the ball on every play and we simply could not do anything to stop it. They simply imposed their will on us. It was like watching a high school game in which the two schools are simply on different levels.

Again, if the game was closer, the 49ers did have weapons in Kittle, Sanders, and Samuel that could have likely been big factors in the game. They were not factors because they simply did not need them.

I don't see the same outcome if 49ers play at Lambeau. Maybe they still win but no way does it look like it did tonight.

He burned me in a big-money playoff league I'm in. before this weekend, I was in 3rd place, and was the only one with two QBs still alive (Mahomes and Rodgers). Didn't have Mostert, though, and I doubt I'll be able to make up enough points to win it. Still hopefully in the money though.

Again, you shouldn't be looking at him as a starter, which he isn't and shouldn't be. As a reserve rusher, he's fine. He needs to be accounted for, which is better than a lot of reserve defenders. He's not 100% safe, but I'd be at about 95% he's on next year's team, in a reserve edge role again.

I think we should all resign ourselves to the fact that the Rodgers era will not see another Super Bowl. Partly because the talent gap is too wide and partly because Rodgers is now a slightly above average quarterback now. It's past time to look for his successor.

He can be a "guy" but that doesn't mean you have to replace him. You need "guys." AJ Hawk was a guy. On a good team, he had a great year and was a key player on a title team.

In reality, enormous gaps are rarely as big as they seem. I've heard all this before. The Vikings are geared to dominate the division for years, the Packers are going to down the NFC for a decade, they won it before they even peaked!

It never works out this way. It's a league full of blown knees and fired coaches and schemes that get exposed. The Packers can absolutely beat that team year. They could also not, but I'm not going to rip my hair out because they're so much better than us and we need to fill 10 holes. It's just never that simple. Sometimes one or two guys, or a strategy that uses what you have a bit better makes all the difference.

Was Gary injured? Or did he not play a snap?
