Looks like Aaron said the heck with his discount.

I thought the "Aaron never plays it safe" commercial (where he doesn't speed and stops at a yellow) seemed a little appropriate for this year.... :embarrassed Bring back the discount double-check!

That was just a downright silly 2 pt attempt. An XP makes it a 20 point game which 3 miracle hypothetical TDs and 3 XPs wins it. It's too late to chase field goal possibilities. I'm all about being unconventional but that was just stupid.

Silly it may be but maybe make the throw and it wouldn’t matter.

Then to follow it up with the most pathetic looking onside attempt in history. Ugh.

Why go for two?

Probably trying to get as many points as possible at this point.

I mean, the math just didn't even make any sense on it. I know it won't happen, but if we were to rally and score 3 TDs in the final quarter here and lose in OT, MLF will be absolutely crucified for that decision.

It does. At this point in the game down 19 is 8+8 plus a FG. Time is not on your side, so just needing a FG is a big difference. It's a silly dream, but that's why the chart probably said 2pt.

But the "math" always assume the offense doesn't score anymore. Even with missing the 2pt, they were 21 pts behind. So not any "harm" to go either.

That's my feeling too. 19 pts plus three is 22. 21pts plus three is 24. May just kick the XP and wait til you actually may need that 2pt. Somewhere there's probably gamblers on O/U. What was that before the game. 47 total now ought to be pretty close

It made sense with the game where it is. Two touchdowns and a FG. You can't do that down 20. With the time left and the miracle you need the (albeit very low) percentages are probably going for 2 there.

Still don't agree at all. You're not playing for FGs now at all much less when you have to get 3 two pointers on top of it. That's just not realistic. How big is that 1 point looking right now at 34-20 instead of 34-21?

There’s a prime Aaron Rodgers throw! Big chunk plays and taking shots. That’s what we always used to do multiple times per game back multiple years ago even without getting the defense to jump offsides for a free play. Go back to doing that a few times each game. Helps open everything else up.
