And that's it, folks. Houston gets a home game. Tennessee looks like NYG back in 2011.

The Chiefs may have something to say about that.

I'm drunk

I’m kinda hoping for a Titans/49ers Super Bowl simply because it would feature two QBs that aren’t considered elite trying to make a career defining statement. Much like a Joe Flacco did. It is somewhat refreshing.

Of course I hope the Packers win, but after reality sets in the above is what I hope for.

I'll settle for Packers - Titans in the Super Bowl, even if present reality seems like it would be too wishful thinking. Tonight's game showed just about anything can happen in a playoff game, so the fact that the packers will be among the last 5 teams vying for a title by the time they kick off tomorrow night is a pretty nice feeling as a fan.

I just think we match up terribly with San Francisco. They're already better, but being a bad matchup on top of that is not a good recipe.

I do think we'll beat Seattle, so I'm not just being negative to be negative here. We just do not match up well with defenses that can snuff out the run and get to the QB without blitzing. At this point in the season I think if something was going to magically click with the offense it would have happened by now. I think our only chance of winning in San Francisco would be an absolutely dominating defensive performance, forcing some turnovers and winning a 13-10 type game.

So pretty much every team doesnt match up well with a team that can snuff out the run and pressure a qb without blitzing. That isn't just a GB issue.

I think I've said it previously in this thread, if the packers get another crack at san fran I'm hoping they go in with a gameplan of spreading them out to try and get some of their nickel or dime package defenses on the field - 4 wide with Jones or even 5 wide with tonyan as a wr. Then you don't sub and run sort of a hurry up offense that doesn't let them sub or call different defenses. I think their best bet is to see if Rodgers can find a game where he reminds everyone what he is capable of in terms of reading a defense and taking what it gives him. Sort of like what Favre did against that great Ravens defense that nobody could run against, so they just dinked and dunked them to death.

San fran's defense is great against balanced offensive gameplans because they can play their base defensive personnel against it, and their front 7 is dominant with 3 LB's on the field. I think if you can temper the pass rush with a combo of hurry up and quick hitting routes and go after favorable coverage matchups on the outside opposite Sherman, they can be had. That is largely the approach the saints used against them and they hung 40 plus on that defense - they still ran a decent amount, but it was largely off spread formations.

Lol, turn on the tv and its 14-0 Texans before the game really even starts...

Makes you wonder how much that bye is really worth.

The Packers came out flat in SF after their regular season bye.

Considering the last team to even make it to the Super Bowl without a first round bye was Baltimore seven years ago, it's huge.

The AFC playoff bracket is drunker than I was last night

What a great TE route by Fells? Is it? I really miss that sort of quick TE curl. Seems Graham is always in a corner jump ball route. Even on 3rd and shorts where is that TE play?

Great start by Houston. That puntblock has to be one of the cleanest block Ive seen in a dozen or more years. Not even a brush of jersey on the punter following through.

It is and it isn’t. In some years, the 1- and 2- seed teams might be clearly better than the other remaining teams and in other years, there could be less separation. The Packers (‘10), Giants (‘11), and Ravens (‘12) all won Super Bowls without byes prior to the seven-year streak you mentioned. I think byes are still valuable, but I also think good teams win primarily because they’re good.
