NFL Playoffs: Non Packer Games

homer
I don’t want to get ahead of myself here too much, since I don’t think tomorrow can be taken for granted by any means. But heading back to San Francisco, I think the Packers have as good a chance as anyone else in the NFC to pull it off. That isn’t to say that they have a good chance, to be clear, but in their last matchup, the running game figures weren’t horrible for the Packers, that game just got away from them from the jump and Rodgers was awful. If Rodgers is simply competent and they don’t turn it over, I think they can put in a much better showing than last time, and better than Minnesota today.

The Vikings obviously stayed in Minnesota. I thought for sure that after the showing they had against New Orleans last week that they would at least give San Fran a game. But I was wrong. I suppose their defense has played well enough to keep the score close, but this is a full on drubbing otherwise.

Also, the Vikings apparently don't have an offensive line. Wow!

Vikings oline gives them no chance against teams with really good defensive fronts. The saints dont have that, which is why they had what appeared to be a much better gameplan on offense last week.

Cook getting shut down makes them look like they did against the packers a few monday nights ago.

Vikes defense has been fine today, sucks for them their offense gave them no prayer and got them wore down

Vikings line is pathetic

[sarcasm]Good thing we have a great rush defense.[/sarcasm]

What team have you been watching? GB's run defense has been very good in the 2nd half of the season.

I was going to say this. It's been pretty good for at least a month. This is where rankings can be misleading. I feel pretty sure the Packers offense will be what does them in. We are trotting out a second wideout that we cut on August 31.

Silver lining of this game - look at san fransisco's offensive stats...they didnt play well either.

If green bay doesnt implode offensively next week should they win tomorrow, it will be a game they have a chance to win

Ehhh, they had the one bad pick, but mostly moved the ball when they had to. That Vikes D is good.

But we shouldn't forget the vibe going into the NFCCG in Seattle was very much that the Packers had no chance to win.

But again, they gotta beat Seattle first.

San Fran looked fine on offense today. They literally passed like 3 times int he 2nd half so hard to gauge. They looked like junk in that last game against Seattle though.

I don't expect it to last, but wow! It appears that the Ravens may have been overlooking the Titans a bit.

INT and stop on 4th down....nice equalizers.

I always thought Tannehill was a super underrated QB in Miami. Really glad to see him get a second wind. That Titans team has shades of the Giants/Packers wild card teams. Henry is an absolute monster.

It's amazing what getting away from Adam Gase will do for your career.

Haven't watched much Ravens...does every pass Jackson throws normally look like 3 receivers and 3 DBs have a chance to catch it?

He is throwing a ton of flutter balls tonight. I watched him quite a this year (fantasy football purposes) and this is pretty abnormal. I don't know if it's rust from the week off or what, but this is as bad as Jackson has looked all season. He's been pretty consistently great up until today. There were a few games where he didn't throw for a ton of yards, but he typically had huge rushing games in those ones.

I don't know. I haven't watched him much either. But if the Ravens lose this game it's going to give his critics more ammunition. From what I have seen of him he does seem to be a better passer than Kaepernick, I'll say that.
