Imo, they need the bye if there's any chance of some matchups going their way and winning the NFC. This is not a run the table wild card team. I'm not sure they're 30 points worse than SF and weird stuff happens. But getting that bye is really a necessity to me. If they got a bye and won a game, to me that's an incredible year for this team.

The NFC playoff field, whoever is in, is going to be ridiculously stacked. Even the Rams, who could be left out, are a really good team. Either the Eagles or Cowboys are going to get a first round playoff game, but realistically are going to be heavy underdogs to whoever the 5 seed is, probably the 9ers, if they lose to the Seahawks in 2 weeks. The Packers (if they win out.... ) will likely be playing the winner of a Saints/Vikes matchup, so we have to assume the Saints would be coming to Lambeau. I'm honestly ok with that matchup in GB in January. So if we can somehow get past the 'aints, we're getting whoever is left standing between the 9'ers and the Seahawks. I'm not even considering the Eagles/Cowboys at that point, though it would be pretty amazing if they could sneak that far ahead.

Couple thoughts:

- I know I've been clear about not being impressed with us and feeling our 11-3 is pretty hollow, but the Bears are a pretty decent team. Trubisky is coming around and they have some decent skill players on offense. It's still an ugly win but it looks a lot better than the one against the Redskins. This is a Bears team that had come in playing good football and pulled off a solid road win in Dallas.

- Our defense, for the most part, seems to be a pretty decent first half defense. They clearly do play a different looser clock killing type mode with late leads. It drives me insane, but they have always managed to come away with wins using it I guess so who am I to argue.

The Packers won that game, 14-13. Without looking it up, anyone remember who scored the *first* Packer TD of that game?

Sterling Sharpe would make sense.

Edit - Blast! I had the second TD. I don't even remember the first guy.

Edit Edit - Doh! I suppose that was in the video of the OP that I didn't watch first... :embarrassed :laughing

Clint Didier, the longtime Redskin TE great who signed on with the Packers for the season.

Nice to see Ha-Ha playing like his old self again. Late covering the middle (Adam's TD) and "tackling" by throwing his shoulder at people.

He was juked out of his shoes on Kumerow's big gainer too.
