Game 14: Bears @ Packers - Sunday, December 15th, Noon

homer
This team is going to be in the NFC title game in a loaded conference. To me, it depends whether that title game is at lambeau or on the road as to whether they get to the super bowl.

Yet the mood during these game threads is that of an 8-8 also ran. Enjoy the ride people!

Did you forget to use blue font? Because it should be.

Time will tell, but no it should definitely not be in blue font

You think this team can beat SF, NO, or Seattle in a divisional matchup? Highly unlikely.

I’m betting he’s serious, and he probably should be. This team is far better than the fan base seems to think it is, for some reason.

I think too often fans overrate teams they don’t watch every week and ignore their faults. Reading this board at times, the Packers are worse than the 9ers, Saints, Seahawks, and Vikings. Those teams all have flaws too.

I love this team but to me there are warts that are not personnel related. Those drive me nuts - burning timeouts mid way through the 1st quarter to try to draw the Bears offsides is one that comes to mind.

Burning time outs in the first half doesn't really bother me much, but it would've been nice to have that time out during that two minute drive.

The same Saints that not too long ago got smoked by the Falcons. They have plenty of flaws themselves.

Seahawks needed OT to beat the Buccaneers. They got smoked by the Rams. meh. Everyone has flaws.

Or a 9ers team that had to hold on against the Cardinals on the road and needed 19 4th quarter points at home?

OK, so you named one instance for those teams where they weren't at their best. Nobody's season is perfect. Can you name a second one?

Because the Packers lost to Philly at home, should've lost to Detroit at home but the refs gave us that game, got smoked by the Chargers at a ninth home game, proved they aren't anywhere in the same league as SF and struggled to beat Washington at home last week.

They'll win the division and may even sneak into the second seed, but I don't see this team getting past the divisional round.

Because it was more fun to kick the crappy of most teams from 2010-2014. But being 10-3 is fun too.

I don't think too many people disagree that this is a pretty flawed Packers team. Nobody in the NFC is without flaws. I think the 9er's are probably the NFC favorites. I think what most people are saying is that they're going to watch the games and let them play out, even if the Packers are underdogs.

You've already decided that the cap is 2nd round. Cool. That probably makes watching the games not that fun.

Why didn't the Bears go for it? A field goal isn't going to help them at this point. I'll take it though.

If they don't convert the game is over down 3 scores. It's pretty bleak for them anyway but that was the right call, they are fighting for their playoff lives right now.

I get trying to burn clock but a play action on 1st down would have been nice one of the last two drives.

The game is over either way. They had a great drive going. I would think converting there is a high probability. Settling for three isn't fighting for their playoff lives.

Obviously most of us dont watch either of those teams, but looking back through their schedules, NO needed a miracle in week 1 against houston, looks like they weren't really competitive against the rams in a loss, and had games where they barely beat Dallas, Jacksonville, and Carolina in addition to the aforementioned Falcons game.

San Fran struggled against Washington and struggled against Arizona twice. Their defense is scary, but realistically they will be the 1 seed or 5 seed, so likely wouldn't face them till the championship game.

Remember what Yoda said:

I like Sullivan. Feel good about having him start next year.
