Game 14: Bears @ Packers - Sunday, December 15th, Noon

That was horrible play calling and clock management.

Certainly looked like running out the clock was more of a priority than moving the ball and getting points. Doesn't make a lot of sense because the Bears haven't exactly shown the ability to move the ball much today.

I know many will disagree, but Rodgers just isn't in the elite tier of QBs anymore. He still has moments of brilliance, but the overall production should be a lot better than it is. I know the offensive weapons aren't the best they have ever been, but he still has one of the best pass blocking lines in the NFL, one of the top running backs, and a clear WR1. He should be able to do more with what he's got.

I think Lazard is pretty good. I also think Rodgers relies way too much on Adams. That 4th down play (non TD play) he had Lazard open but stared down Adams the whole time.

I think Lazard could continue to develop into something. He's got some physical tools. I think you're right that Rodgers relies way too much on Adams. His target splits show that when Adams was out he does a great job of spreading it around. I think Rodgers is also pretty stubborn with learning to work with new/younger WR, sometimes to a fault.

What a dumb ending to that half, how is it grounding when the guy has a hold of his arm? Adams was out there and that it didn't get to the LOS was because his arm was held. Stupid of Rodgers to let it get to that point anyway. Same old crap, 3 times we got inside the 50 with no points. hopefully we can gut out a win again.

Why wouldn't it be grounding if he has hold of his arm?

I guess I sort of view like a ball that gets batted down but it sounds like I don't know the rule by the other reply.

You're at the opposing 36 yard line with the clock stopped, 2 timeouts, and over a minute left in the half. How in the world are you not sitting there thinking touchdown?

I don't know. They're running belly dives and running 40 seconds off the clock.... so I'd say a TD wasn't a high priority.

You are 100% right on this. Unfortunately this is a hard pill to swallow for the Rodgers honks and will make every excuse in the book for him.

Even Mike Greenberg thinks he's average, and he makes a solid argument.

I think that drive was what we've been expecting all year from this offense. Lots of misdirection and just taking what's there for an easy td.
Remember what Yoda said:

Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln.....

It’s also really interesting that depending on the week, this fan base alternates between calling this o-line ‘massively overrated’ and ‘one of the best pass blocking lines in the league.’

This team is going to be in the NFC title game in a loaded conference. To me, it depends whether that title game is at lambeau or on the road as to whether they get to the super bowl.

Yet the mood during these game threads is that of an 8-8 also ran. Enjoy the ride people!

Did you forget to use blue font? Because it should be.

I’m betting he’s serious, and he probably should be. This team is far better than the fan base seems to think it is, for some reason.

I know many have criticized the line often but I've normally been in the camp that they're actually quite underrated, at least by our own fans. I think that partly stems from just being a position that isn't noticed unless things go wrong.

Time will tell, but no it should definitely not be in blue font

"Is going to be" sounds pretty confident. You are taking them over the 49ers or Saints in the divisional round?

That is probably a very fair theory.

If it's at Lambeau in this type of weather, I'd definitely at least consider it.

Yes, both of those teams are getting beaten up pretty bad on the injury front, and those games at lambeau are far different than on the road.
