If the rumors are true, Gute needs to seriously think about trading for OBJ.

I was just thinking that. He’s a cancer, but if you can’t sign an all-pro WR and won’t be in position to likely draft one, what is the alternative? Do you roll the dice on a winning culture keeping OBJ in check?

I also thought the same thing this afternoon. If they draft defense with their FRP, the guy will just wind up being a turd. Rodgers has 1-2 good years left. Go all in.

Yeah, I think a Peyton Manning/John Elway late-career resurgence is possible, but 12 needs another star. Gotta find a way, because this isn’t going to work. I can’t be mad at LeFleur—the dude is going to go down as the most successful first year coach in franchise history no matter where this year ends, and maybe his offense will hit another gear with a year or two to settle in. But I don’t think Rodgers has that kind of time. Not at his rate of deterioration.

This offense showed so much promise when Adams was out. And they looked awesome at times today. But what the hell was the rest of that?

I know games are 60 minutes, but this team was outscored 15-6 over the last 45 minutes by a 3-10 team ... yet somehow are the second seed in the NFC (shoulder shrug emoji).

And yet I never felt like they were actually in danger of losing the game.

I know. Weird season. Oh well. Winning > Losing.

I never felt like they were going to lose, but I'd just like to have one single quality game to hang our hat on and say "Boy, this team can really dominate. Yeah, I believe this team can go up against Seattle and New Orleans and San Francisco and win in January."

I just don't see that win on our resume even at 10-3. Things can happen and maybe things start to click, but right now I don't have a lot of confidence that this team can beat any of the above 3 teams in the playoffs, even at Lambeau.

I dont disagree with any of that... But sometimes the hallmark of a winning team is winning when you have to deal with adversity. This team is pretty average. An average offense. Average defense, and lets be honest, pretty bad special teams, and they're 10-3. Somehow. They went into KC and won a thriller when Matt Moore or whoever played out of his mind. They held on against the Vikes. They came back against the Lions (ref aided) and didnt lay down when they were in a big hole.

I dont know. This ain't a dominant team. But they have been tested many times. They didnt fold after the 9ers crushed them. I'm content that this season has been a big step towards being respectable again. If they get into the playoffs and make some noise (which they might....A-rodg can go off on any given day...) So much the better.
