It's viewed as a minor overpay by the Angels.

 

That said... La Stella has a career OBP of .345, and has posted an OPS+ of 109 over the last three years.

La Stella is currently projected as a starter on an Angels team that is desperately trying to piece together a playoff caliber squad during Mike Trout’s prime (now 28 years old). I don’t think they would move La Stella unless they were adding value to their major league roster.

Considering who the author is, I expected it to be a proposal for some 26-year-old AA catcher with poor defense but good OPB numbers.
