The Packers are who they are. I think its silly to write a team off definitively. They have flaws. The saints and 9ers and seahwaks are all probably better teams. The Saints got smoked by the Falcons a few weeks ago.

I dont believe the Packers are a super bowl team. I didnt think they were in 2010. I just think writing a team off is hasty.

Ehh, I agree no one should write them off, but the 2010 comparisons are kinda weak to me. This team is just not where that one was. It doesn't have the same kind of veteran presence all over the field, it's just not as good. I'm just hoping for some fun playoff football. If they win two games that's awesome.

They arent the 2010 team. All I'm saying is the 2010 Packers were 8-6, got hot and won it all. Nobody expected that. And you said yourself, nobody should write them off. As I said, I dont expect them to get out of the Nfc, but calling it before it happens is weak sauce.

I see this team getting that 1st round bye, and the two things this team has going for it that give them more than a puncher's chance in January is their ability to put pressure on a QB consistently without blitzing and a healthy #12. That means they have a better than average chance at winning the turnover battle in any playoff game, which can swing who wins and loses. They have enough balance on offense to at least keep teams honest - even if they aren't explosive enough to roll up and down the field against good defenses.

The NFC is so stacked its tough to say which team is indeed the best and favorite to get to the super bowl...Of the likely playoff teams, I'd rank the Packers in that #3-#4 range of likeliest to get to the Super Bowl right now - but there's at least one of the teams currently in front of them (49ers, Saints, Seahawks) that is going to drop in December due to remaining schedules.

I think it's most likely the Saints end up with HFA. Even with a loss to SF it could still happen because SF ends with Seattle and really has no gimmes the rest of the way.

In an ideal scenario to me, the 49ers end up 5th, go crush the winner of the East, and the Vikings lose to Seattle. SF then gets New Orleans, the Packers get to host Seattle, and if they win either go to the Saints or get SF at home.

I think the Packers are the 5th best NFC team but that's the path I'd see as the best shot. I would most like to avoid road games to Seattle or SF.
