Game 9: Packers @ Chargers - Sunday, November 3rd, 3:25PM

The hot takes are sting again today, I see. Man, we really struggle to deal with losses around here.

It's not the loss, and you know it. Anyone could have possibly seen a loss coming today. It's the manner in which they were completely humbled and dominated today.

You won't see the Patriots, Saints or 49ers get embarrassed to this magnitude this year.

Did Aaron Jones make the flight to SD? Talk about a dud after last weeks performance.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Let’s use more first draft round draft picks on defense ... that will fix things.

I'm ok with Pettine going. The defense hasn't improved one iota under his leadership despite an insane number of additions and investments. This is as talented of a defensive group as I've seen on this team since 2010 and it's the same old results.

Chalk this up to a bad day at the office. I’m a little jaded, but not ready to pile on Pettine.

They were the 23rd ranked defense coming into today and that will certainly get worse after today. It's not one day. They continually get gashed every week since the Philly game. The results haven't come close to matching the talent.

And you struggle with letting people post in an IGT.

Oh, you're allowed to post just fine. Doesn't mean I can't personally lament or disagree with what's being posted.

There was some inflated yardage due to the big early leads. Their red zone and scoring D is (was?) much better. I’m not sold on this team, but I’m not throwing gas on the fire tonight either.

Yes, you do. But is it the best choice? Especially as a mod. Just never goes anywhere. Ever. But, yes, do you.

It's like watching 11 sloths trying to run down a guy in open space. Wasn't this supposed to be a new, faster defense now?

Too busy getting high.

You like to post stuff like this, I think as a jab. I’d argue you’d be better off not trying to police the board yourself, but that’s just a friendly suggestion.

I never understood this. Jumping out to big leads and then allowing the other team back in it shouldn't count against your defense? How is that inflated? They jumped out to a huge lead against the Vikings, then the defense let them back in the game....but that shouldn't be held against them?

Pretty much. Can? Sure. Prudent? No.

I can't believe that anyone watching this actually fancies this team a Super Bowl contender. Just too many things that they are really bad at. This may be the worst run defense I've ever seen out of any Packer team, ever. Christian McCaffrey might go through 3 pairs of cleats next week.

At some point, you’re playing the clock and not your opponent. I’m not saying the yards don’t count, but rather trying to add some context. Much like baseball, raw stats aren’t everything.

I don't think anybody has fancied them a super bowl contender. Right now, it's about fancying being in the tournament and the W-L put them in a good spot for that.

And this is a Chargers team that was ranked #28 in rushing offense.

This team is no better than #3 in the NFC, and a distant third at that. I just don't see how this team can even make it to the NFCCG.

I just thought they might win the division. Host a playoff game. Never went into this season thinking Super Bowl. Hopefully they can right the ship and still win the division. Not sure though.

Rodgers and his poor body language is something I won’t miss when he’s done.

I think they could still possibly win the division, but only because I don't think they're really competing with anyone besides Minnesota and they're in a favorable tiebreaker position.

While things can change, they clearly are at best a very distant #3 team in the NFC right now and not on the level of the 49ers or Saints. Let's just hope at this point that they can bounce back at home against Carolina, not a gimme game at all.

How many deep balls has Rodgers thrown today that had no shot of being caught? And on 3rd and 4th down at that.

He was terrible today in his decision making. Had Williams for the first on 4th and 4 and again threw a deep ball that had no real chance.

I'm frankly glad they didn't score on the last drive because the last thing they needed today was to be able to steer the narritive that they fought back hard because the final score was only 26-19 and didn't look that lopsided. They needed a humbling.

I believe the 49ers are overrated and will play 4-4 ball the rest of the way and get knocked out in the divisional round at home, possibly by Seattle.

Packers are probably a 8-8 football team that will somehow will themselves to 11-5. Likewise, they will probably get beat at home on Wild Card weekend against a hot football team.
