Game 7: Raiders @ Packers - Sunday, October 20th Noon

The one thing I am hanging onto is that they've flashed some really good things on offense but haven't put a full game together yet. That might have been Detroit had Shepherd and Jones not fumbled/slipped.

The Raiders aren't good. I'd be a little worried if it was on the road on Sunday Night or something, but a noon home game, the Packers should roll through this. They can always be a little uglier than you want to see, but losing to this team would be a major red flag, even if the Raiders look a bit better than expected.

I can't see KC as a lock even without Mahomes, but the Packers really have no business losing a game until they face Carolina. That'd put them 8-1 heading into that.

The Packers really did play well outside of the turnovers. We still scored 23 points while “throwing” an interception near the goal line, fumbling in Lions territory while driving down the field, and the muffed punt return. The Packers gave away 3 possessions and still somehow found a way to win. It was one of those games where the Packers really played well offensively and defensively and probably should of put up 35 points in the game. Outside of the two big passes for the Lions, they couldn’t move the ball at all on our defense.

The problem is the Packers have had a few of those this year. And, coincidentally, have been that team for a couple years now. They will put together 2-3 drives where they look like they're moving the ball at will and then shut it down for quarters at a time.

I think some of it is coming back down to earth of Rodgers just doing whatever he wants, but they do need to find some consistency on offense. Just letting the defense get a breather sometimes is helpful.

24-20, Raiders.

I’m starting to believe in this year’s team, but am also trying hard to manage my expectations. A lot of intangibles are going the Raiders’ way.

I'm starting to think you should call every game a Packer loss. Your bad predictions seem to be a good luck charm for the Pack ;)

I hesitate to call the offense inept. I think the better term is ‘average.’ All of the high draft picks and free agency money is on the other side of the ball. If the Packers are going to win, they’re going to do it differently than the way they did from 2010-2014. Packer fans (myself included) need to come to terms with that.

This offense has shown flashes of dominant play. They need to find the consistency. Can they? Time will tell. It will be an interesting game to watch Sunday. If the Packers are going to be a contender this year, this is the type of game they should be able to win going away. I predict something like a 28-7 score.

That's isn't what happened last week though. They moved the ball fairly consistently.

If they keep winning, I’ll keep picking against them. :)

I’ve had reservations about every game (Eagles were better than their record, Cowboys were going to run all over them in Dallas, Lions were coming off a bye and ascending, and now Packers beat up on short rest). I’m happy with the record, but waiting for a correction.

I haven't really had a single game on the schedule I thought the Packers would lose. I didn't think they would start the season 6-0, but there wasn't one that stood out to me as a very likely loss. San Francisco would seem to to be the one. I think they have a road divisional loss in them, possibly two, and probably one other random game. The Giants road trip could be a sneaky tough one. 12-4 is looking within reach.

Despite his mediocre stats Rodgers is really playing well, my concerns earlier in the season that the collarbone injury has turned him into a high end game manager appears to have been wrong. He needs some more weapons though, I feel like Gutes blew it a bit going with the young receivers, we really need Adams back.

I will be at the game, I am on I think a 7 game winning streak on games attended going back to the Super Bowl so hoping to keep it going.

I think the pick win fairly easy, maybe not a huge blowout but never really in doubt, 26-10 or something like that. Trent Brown and his domestic abuse issues may lead to him not playing and could be an overall team distraction for the Raiders as well.

I am beginning to think that Rodgers has consciously changed his game. Perhaps reading too much into his postgame comments last week, but he basically seemed to be saying "My role has changed." He had another remark the week earlier about "I've put up enough stats, I want to win now."

He is a smart guy. Maybe he has realized if he plays well enough to move the chains and never gives up the ball, the defense is good enough that they'll win most of the time, and he is still good enough to be a hero if required.

If Adams doesnt injure his toe this team is undefeated and rolling teams offensively - this is one of those weeks where you hope homefield and the time zone disparity between CA and WI with a noon start time is enough of an advantage for the pack to find a way to win a game despite having no primary receivers and a bunch of knicked up players.

Lions play Vikings and bears play saints, so a win gives the pack another game of separation against two teams where it really helps.

Somethings gotta give on these PIs soon. Either coaches need to stop challenging or the league will need to over turn the ones that need over turning, not saying this one needed over turning though. My money is on the coaches blinking first.

That Raiders rookie just did the championship belt move.

Buddy you are like half a decade late on that being cool when sacking Rodgers.

To be fair, it’s probably still fun to do.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

The local CBS affiliate in Green Bay changed their digital signal on Friday. I rarely watch live TV outside of local news and Packer games. I tuned in around 11:20 and it took me until Noon to troubleshoot and get the correct signal (20 minutes of that was just moving the digital antenna around before learning there was a signal switch). I imagine a lot of folks didn’t realize there was a reception issue until they tuned in at Noon.
