Desmond might be a useful player as a platoon 1B with Thames. He can also fill in at CF and probably the corner OF as well. I don't think he can play SS anymore, though.

Desmond had an ops of 657 away from Coors and 657 vs rhp. Hes also really bad defensively. Id rather just roll with Braun as the rhb 1st baseman.

Absolutely correct! Desmond is way over paid for a .255/.310 hitter. I'm not sure the Brewers would consider him even if the Rockies picked up most of the $25M he'll make in 2020-2021.
