I'm not a fan of using a catchphrase from a movie that wasn't centered around the Brewers. So unless they are using a Mr. 3000 quote, no thanks.

"Just a Bit Outside" is not just from the movie Major League. Uecker has been using this as a catch phrase as a Brewers broadcasting for years before that movie came out.

This may be true but it’s Harry Doyle’s quote more than anyone else. Pass.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Are we sure about this? Because I thought the same and researched it, but couldn't find anyone mentioning him saying that pre-Major League.

It was okay there but it ran its course. it still was busy during game day but I can see it struggling non game days since it is a chain and nobody would really go out of the way to visit this location.

Actually, we live in Waukesha and usually try to get there at least once during the dead of Winter. Not so much because we like the food, but more to just gaze out at the field and dream of warmer weather and baseball. It's actually kind of surreal to look out at the empty stadium and field when it's cold, dark, and 10 degrees outside.

If we are going with Uekerism's as thoughts to name the restaurant, how about "Get up, get up....get off that wall....caught"?

"Just a bit outside" from the movie was just a slightly exaggerated take on his normal "just a bit outside" play by play call from as far back as I can remember listening (late 70's).

(Somewhere) I have audio cassettes recorded from WTMJ (and WISN) of Brewers games and coverage. I used to listen and relisten to them all offseason until spring training to the point that I could recall play by play for (seemingly) entire innings.

Augie’s Breakaball Bar and Grill. Either that or just make it a Pizza Ranch.

haha. I just pointed out the Breakaball thing to people in the last week of the season and how it's in my head now. And in general his over the top WI accent. Breakaball has always been glaring to me. Seems like a good guy though so I just take it in stride.

Eddie's Windmill

This this this :laughing

Sorry that is the 7th hole on my soon to be released Brewers themed mini golf course.

Other holes include Treblehorn's Teachings, Runnin' Ron's Runnin' River and Maddux's Mustache.

Anybody know if the new restaurant is up and running? I can’t find anything on the Brewers website about it and on the Miller Park Guide still lists Friday’s.

My wife is interested in seeing what they have and I’m down with taking a trip to Miller Park even if it is in February.
