Honestly we might have to play Shaw instead of Hiura in the playoffs.

Yeah that's not going to happen IMO. A .940 OPS bat is still a .940 OPS bat. Especially against the gauntlet of lefties the Dodgers have if we face them.

Fair enough, but he's going to need to get pulled for defense in the late innings.

I think Grisham took his eyes off the ball. Tough play going back but I think he miss-timed it.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I heart Pomeranz
"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

Does anyone know when they will announce the WC start time? I’m sure they are waiting to see who/where it will be played, but just wondering if anyone knew if that will be announced prior to end of play on Sunday / Monday if need be.

I believe that, typically, both the NL and AL start times are 8PM EST time, since they are the only MLB games scheduled for that day.

Counsell Goes with Devin Williams here in a big spot. Says something that he's getting the appearance over Albers.

Kinda wish he'd have left Pomeranz in there.

We are probably 1 batter away from Hader coming in.

I understand wanting to save some bullets from Pom with a 3 run lead.

Bringing in the closer with two outs in the 8th is something Ned Yost refused to do.
