I'd have brought him back but only to play Middle Linebacker.

For this game, saw a write up on CBS saying how massively injured were going into Sunday. To the point where they couldn't practice and could only do walk throughs. Seems like the worst possible time to be on a short week for them. Seems like GB should be in a good spot here

I had read something last week that both the Eagles and Packers were limiting contact going into this past week's games to be in the best shape possible for Thursday. And both are basically just doing walkthroughs for this week.

The injury report is located here:https://www.packers.com/news/injury-report-packers-vs-eagles-week-4.

Although since neither team actually practiced on Monday, these are just estimations provided by each team.

Found it, https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-week-4-picks-odds-packers-roll-past-eagles-patriots-pummel-undefeated-bills/ :

"Well, they barely had enough people to suit up for Sunday's game against the Lions. At one point last week, the Eagles had to basically cancel their practice because nearly 25 percent of their roster was injured (They ended up holding a walk-through). When 25 percent of your roster is injured, the last thing you need is to play a Thursday game on just three days rest, but that's exactly what the Eagles are going to have to do this week.

If the NFL would permit it, I'm guessing the Eagles would probably trade all of the cheesesteaks in Philadelphia to not have to play on Thursday this week. Unfortunately for the Eagles though, Roger Goodell hates cheesesteak, so I'm guessing he'd never approve such a trade. "

Had 5 different e-mails today with people mass e-mailing out trying to sell tickets. I know it’s a Thursday night, but good matchup and good weather. Seemed real odd how many people were trying to get rid of tickets.

I’m hoping they continue to drop so I can snag cheap tickets and drive up to the game.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I think it's a product of success. Brewers, Bucks, Badgers, and Packers. Add a few big concerts, etc., and people only have so much money and time. Yea, Thurs night helps though. Also, ever since they added the new seating, seems to ve more tixs floating around.

I'd have brought him back if we could have gotten him a bit cheaper, but not JUST to play MLB'er. More of a pass rush specialist. But not quite for 2/16 or whatever he got.

Both Matthews and Cobb we signed to very team friendly deals. I think people are "happy," to see them gone just because they were so overpaid the last few years.

But Cobb at 5 million or Clay at 7...those are pretty team friendly deals.

Yeah, I saw this also. I think maybe this is why people are talking about the Eagles not having a great defense. Otherwise when healthy, they have as much talent as the Bronco's or the Vikings on defense. They have an elite pass rusher in Cox, they have edge rushers...but with 3 days left and them being forced to turn around so quickly and fly out to GB, I can't see a good reason for the Packers to not win this game.

This SHOULD be the game the Packers offense starts to get it going a bit more. I don't think they break out just yet, I think it's going to take at least half a year to see them hitting their stride. But they should be able to run the ball on a tired, beat up D and they should be able to score some early points.

Also, the Eagles seem like they're a worse team with Wentz in there. Kinda a weird situation where they were better with Foles for some reason.

Yep, my girlfriend couldn't sell her tickets which is really odd.

I have said it here before that I think the last stadium expansion was a mistake, they made a tough ticket easy. But Thursday night is tough to sell unless it is the Bears or Vikes, even for people in Milwaukee you have to leave work early and have a late drive home.
