How bout' your bullpen holds a lead once, Cubs?

I'm still really good with a split in this series, as long as the Brewers continue to take care of business. Would love to go into Tuesday's game 1 game down for the division with a two game cushion on the Cubs.

Yeah I can't see the Cubs going on a tear all of a sudden and our guys crashing and burning. So get the next two cubbies and get us back in the divison! I have Woodruff shutting out the cards on game 163 so we can delay losing to the Dodgers until the NLCS again. But seriously, Lyles and Burnes will then alternate shutting out the Astros in the WS every other game. Ok maybe that last one went into BC92 territory...

I’m fine with that. But we have to win both games. We will see if that happens

But if we lose one it would have been infinitely better for the cubs to lose

My favored scenario. We win out. Cubs take the next 2 against the cards putting us 1 back and them 3 back. Then they both sweep their non eachother series. Then the cubs sweep the cards giving us the division and force them into a 163 for the wildcard 2 spot, which in thos scenario I believe would be at Wrigley.
Remember what Yoda said:

"Cubs lead to Cardinals. Cardinals lead to dislike. Dislike leads to hate. Hate leads to constipation."

I wanted the Cubs to win but you just can't make this stuff up.

For me it is hard to have a rooting interest in these games when they finish before we even start. Hard to cheer for a Cubs win when we could lose today. If you were told we were losing tonight I’m sure you’d be cheering for the Cards then.

Kinda an awkward series to to watch and cheer for a specific team.

So what happens if you make a mound visit when you have none left?

There isn’t a clear rule on punishment. I’d imagine the umpire would harass you a little bit to stop it and get back to the game. The rule states if you continue to break the rule they will do something...likely fines.

Do mound visit limits apply in the postseason? If so, I think I’d be willing to take the punishment.
