I think I am still going Cardinals today. The path to the division is so narrow, and I don't like watching Wrigley get going. It's a bit of a fine line, I guess, because you want the Cards to have something to play for those last three games too, bit knowing we could be only 1 up if we lose tonight would make the game much more stressful...

I'm thinking more big picture.

I want the division that way you avoid the win or go home scenario right out of the chute.

Not to mention the fact if you did somehow catch fire it's far easier to get to a World Series that way.

Totally fair. I don't think there's a wrong answer. Any outcome is good, provided we keep winning.

That was the fastest replay review I’ve ever seen. It took less than ten seconds, it seemed like. All the times CC challenges a call, it feels like ten minutes to get a result.
That WAS quick. I'll give it to these Cub fans...they're totally into the game.

Oh! Carp HBP...hope he goes on DL for 3 weeks.

I’m now going down the road of hoping for the Cubs to lose and make it easier to get at least a wild card spot. After Sunday, down 3 with 13 to go I was hoping the Brewers could gain a game while the Cards played the Nats and then another 1 or 2 over the weekend. But now gaining 3 over the last 8 is going to be tough, and I’m wary of the Brewers suddenly losing a few in a row. The offense is operating on a thin margin with Yelich out, Grandal wearing down (and apparently recovering from the flu), and Cain, Braun, and Hiura all at less than full strength.

So, at least for the day I’m hoping for the Cubs to lose. If the Cards lose at least something positive comes from it.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Huge swing when it looked like the Cards were going to blow it open in the 4th, Goldschmidt grounded into a double play with the bases loaded and then Happ tied it with a 2 run HR.

If the Cubs win this game and end up making the playoffs, that's a turning point in their season.

Len Kasper has an awful voice when he's excited.

It has been a while since I’ve had the distinct displeasure of listening to this crew for more than an inning or two. It’s brutal. I love them blaming DeJong for Carp’s stupid baserunning. Classic.

EDIT: Disregard the above. Thought you meant the Cards tv announcers.
