Wong OUT (hamstring) probably for a week, DeJong lowered in the order for the first time (pull happy)

The Cubs should take this one as Wacha is mystified by the Wrigley 9

Rizzo back on the field and I don't what Baez's status is.

I think Baez can run only. I don't see him swinging a bat over the next week. Then again, I was shocked that Rizzo came back.

Me too...tough call for Maddon at this point in the season.

Amusing listening to the Cardinal announcers whine about how terrible they have been getting runners in from third with less than two out. Apparently the Brewers don’t have the market cornered on that.

ETA, I looked it up and the Brewers have the worst percentage in the NL at getting runners in from third with less than two out. The Cards are second worst.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Interesting.

Castellanos is only 11 doubles shy of the major league record. That's nuts, given that it just made a list of "unbreakable" MLB records.

Anything but a Cubs win and a Brewers loss works for me today.

May I ask why?? I'd rather see the Cubs win..and at least one more in this series, if not the remaining 3. If they do that, at WORST the Brewers are 1 game out(if not tied) of the division starting next week(that's of course assuming a sweep of the hapless Pirates).

Not against you but I hate assuming sweeps. I don’t give a crap how bad the pirates are playing. It’s hard to sweep people

I’m in the boat of letting the cubs get behind us as far as possible now
