2019-09-19 Other MLB Games with Playoff Implications - Phillies and Braves 1115am

How the heck did the Brewers beat Jack Flaherty? Dude is ridiculous.

Gotta wonder about the logic of having your young ace throw 120 pitches in a game you have in hand.

Maybe it wasn't as in hand as it seemed.......never underestimate an untimely blow up from Carlos Martinez.

Who do we really hate more? Cubs or Cards? It's an obvious "cardinals" answer for me because of all the POS players and managers (La Russa). Along with the constant "baseball the right way" and obvious steroid double standard. Add to the fact that it seems like we own the cubs now and I'm hoping the cards crash and burn.

It's a tie......

More extra innings please!

Don't forget that they beat us in our only world series in 1982. That will always be my #1 reason for my Cardinal hate.

Cardinals by far. There have been singular Cubs teams I hated more like the Zambrano, Lee, Ramirez era teams. But this Cubs team is not very hateable. It is hard to hate Bryant and Rizzo and even Cubs fans hate Russell I think. Baez is easy to hate for non Cubs fans though. I tend to hate the Vikings more than the Bears too because the Vikings have way more obnoxiously awful players than the Bears.

From here on out I’m hoping the Cardinals smash the Cubs. We aren’t making up three games on the Cardinals at this point.

The only chance we have is to sweep the pirates. I never count on a sweep no matter how bad a team is playing. So you are probably right

I found myself emotionally rooting for the Cubs, but seeing them fight all the way back, only to lose anyway via the return of their big money prize closer, was pretty neat.

All in all, alone in a playoff spot for the first time in...forever, and pulled within 1 of the Nats. Not a bad day.

Kimbrel does it again.

Ok we are 1 game up in the WC......I think that is the best result.

Need to get to the playoffs first......division is a bonus at this stage.....that last road trip has me worried.....we have to face Gray who has been almost unbeatable.....and anything can happen in Colorado.
