That ball called a strike derailed that AB completely. He felt he had to swing at those next two pitches which were also balls. Tough job being an ump but that is sad.

So a ball that was called a strike (borderline, actually a strike on MLB.com) caused him to swing at two pitches in the dirt? Lol.....

On another note correct call. Sucks, but correct.

Yes of course it does. Sorry I watched the pitch and saw the display on the screen, it was low. It was borderline which is why I said tough to be an ump but it was a ball. The next pitch they went even lower which is a smart thing to do and he checked his swing because in his head he is thinking about the fact they are calling the low strike. The final pitch is downright in the dirt but again he swings at that low pitch to protect himself like a rookie tends to do. Everything in that pitch sequence changed the moment they called the low pitch a strike. This is pitch sequencing 101 here.

Not sure what's garbage? The call is correct.

Yes, it was the correct call. Pretty obvious actually.

The live play and the first few replays did not provide a good look at what happened. They finally got a replay that showed the kick and it became clear. Pretty silly that the home plate ump flat missed it in real time when he was literally right on top of the play...

That was just a rookie struggling all game swinging at more junk like he has done a lot so far this year.

Not sure if the TV graphic was different, but just skimmed the zone on MLB.com. Can’t say I was paying attention on the TV though.

Losing potentially on a guy's only big league homer sucks big time.

Not so much that it was the guys first HR. More the fact that Hauser throws a 0-2 pitch right down the heart of the plate. Seems like Brewer pitchers do that way too often on 0-2 and 1-2 counts

They aren't boooing the umps call Rock, they are booing the punk.

Drink.

It's no fun if you do it.

Guerra is so clutch

Really wasn’t a bad inning either. Kinda got screwed by his infielder on the bunt. Easy to say throw it a little harder, but then our little league infielder misses it at first and the run is probably scoring...making a real big mess.

Crazy to really blame Guerra for that mess.

You can't say that here. True but you can't say that here.
