Cards announcers said Shaw upset the brewers didn’t release him so he could catch on with another team, fresh start. Mental midget is he. He above all, hurt this team. He can just go away.

Please tell me you didn't actually believe that load of hogwash if they actually said that.

No kidding! Hook, line and sinker. Shaw has had nothing but a great attitude his whole time with the Brewers.

Yeah. Win 7 straight. Drop one. All hope is lost. Sheesh.

All things considered I think it's been a fairly cool headed GT. Some disappointment but no one is saying it is over.

Re-read.

People have understandably given up on this game, but I haven’t seen anyone say that there is no hope for making the playoffs.

What I’m most POd about tonight is that my fantasy team, which was in decent shape to finish in first place is going down the drain because of the injuries to Yelich and Trout, and having Goldschmidt on this week’s opponent looks like the final nail.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Sounds like they're just speculating, and/or being "moran" Cardinals announcers. Even with the "softball reporter" impressions many have of our reporters, we'd have gotten a whiff if something that illogical had any truth to it.

Why would they make something up like that. That seems like a random comment

Is that really what they said verbatim. I wouldn’t dismiss it

I bet he was pissed being in the minors

Why is this so hard to believe? When he was optioned it took him 3-4 days to play in a game. I figured at the time he was probably sulking.

How do the Cards announcers know this but the brewers crew doesn't?? I'm not buying this. If anything Shaw probably feels worse than anyone for how this has gone down.

Why would the Cardinals have that information and no one else? Hasn’t been reported on, ever.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Said it matter of fact, verbatim.

:laughing Oh.

I haven’t seen anyone saying the season is over at all. Every damn night you get the same lame posts about who isn’t positive enough

It’s stupid

Good grief. Shaw has been nothing but self-owning about the season he has had. I never heard a peep about anything when he was first optioned and he played well down there, he certainly wasn't playing like a guy sulking. And it's perfectly normal for guys to take a few days to get into the lineup when they get sent down to get things in order, especially guys who aren't used to being bounced back and forth and has been in the big leagues for years.

Shaw knows perfectly well that we gain nothing from releasing him and lose the opportunity to tender him next year or trade him in the offseason, so he knows the business side of it.

I don't believe for one second that he ever went to anyone demanding his release and sulked afterwards that he didn't get it. And on the actual chance that actually did happen, a couple drama queen pot stirring commentators from St. Louis would not be the first to know.

What happened to Nelson’s supposed increased velocity? Maxing out at 93 and nibbling on the corners ain’t gonna cut it.

I'm glad I went to bed and missed that. :tongue

We just won a bunch of games in a row so dropping one on the road isn't the end of the world. We just gotta start a new streak, right?
