I am sure they could throw Hader 2 innings today...but I am sure they really would prefer not to. Obviously.

Probably, but it would be so much better to not use him today and have him available tomorrow against St Louis. This is where 4 or 5 more runs would be incredibly beneficial

Agreed, but if it's a 1 run game late...gotta play to win today, even if Hader is out til Game 3 at St Louis. Every game is important.

How many pitches did Hader throw last nite?

15 pitches last night.

I think i'd rather have him available for tomorrow. Lets put a bunch more runs on the board, and get it to the point where he's not needed.

Ha, we’ve played 145 games and 136 of em nail biters. So.............

That 83mph knuckle curve has got to look like a watermelon to these dudes.

Not to be that guy, but I don't care who we use as long as we have more points at the end of the game. If we use Hader and he closes out the win I will be doing back flips. Not going to be all that sad he isn't available till Sunday or whatever. We may win by so much this weekend he will never be required anyway. Or...the opposite of that...but point is. Win!!! yay

A lot of posters were underwhelmed with the pitchers we got back at the deadline, when this team was absolutely desperate for pitching.

We don't know how this season is going to end, but as of right now, the deals for Jordan Lyles, Drew Pomeranz, Ray Black, and (to a lesser extent) Jake Faria are looking pretty deft.

Pomeranian has been so darn good in the pen.

So far so good on Freddy but that speaks to what we're dealing with that in the 7th inning of a crucial 1 run game we're going to him when he did so poorly last time out. Looked great, might as well let him start the next if there is righties' coming up. Then have Hader ready to finish off

Freddy’s either fantastic or bad, not a lot of middle ground.

Makes it difficult to put him into the "good" or "bad" category.

Today he's trending towards good. I'm always shocked to see all of the red dots when Freddy is pitching on gameday.
