Grandal had a slump but has since come out of it. He's not tired. He's not wore down. He's ready to charge into a damn playoff spot. He will probably catch about 125-130 games this season. It's not that crazy. Molina has done that for about 4 decades straight.

No off days all next week either. Any recent updates on Pina? Thought today with the lefty might be the day he'd come back and try to get Grandal a day. [sarcasm]Shockingly, Freitas isn't being thrown in at 1B and C to absolutely dominate[/sarcasm]

That’s all’s I can stands and I can’t stands no more. Freitas hurt his rib cage late August and missed more than a week, came back, got 7-8 AB’s, got called up to MKE, and has only pinch hit, albeit every game, and has yet to get a hit, with 3 bb and 2 K’s.

Point is, we are not seeing him at his best, not even close, unlike most of you, I’ve watched Freitas when he was playing every day and in a rhythm, he’s closer to a Great hitter than a good hitter. Go ahead and knock 100 points off his AAA average if you want, that would still make him almost a .300 hitter in the big leagues.

He’ll hit eventually, even if it’s only in a pinch hitting roll, he’s too good a hitter not too. But go ahead and pretend how smart we are by declaring Freitas a journeyman failure, but remember it’s because of his defense and not his hitting.

All that and he still sucks.

Arica is looking lively. Spent some time down here autographing and chatting with fans, seems to be in great spirits. Surprised he’s not more tired :)

He showed up in the dugout last night almost immediately after Moose his his second HR, and was getting a bunch of congrats from the guys and was part of the "gauntlet". It was a cool little moment to see him and Moose embrace and actually congratulate each other.

Good job putting it in play to get the run Moose!

Not sure why Braun didn't get into scoring position on the throw home there.

How did his AB look today? Any better?

Let's just agree that we both want him to get it going again and help us get to October.

Well, it was a serious question as I can't get my live feed to work. Wasn't meant to start an argument.

Seeing some definite red flags with Gio today. Behind on everyone. Missing the zone very consistently and elevating almost everything. Hope he can settle in.

Agree on all counts. Let’s get some outs and get out of this inning. Maybe he’ll settle down after.
