Ladd's hair seemed perpetually curly/shaggy. I don't remember seeing him with any product in it.

Tonight, Black appeared to be wetted with a mixture of sweat and oil. Like he could front a rock band or be a pro wrestler with that hair.

Black looks like a heavy in a '90s spy thriller.

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

Up to .260 for Grisham after entering the day at .222 and his OPS went from .683 to .772
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

So how big would he lead have to be for Burnes to get an inning? 7 runs? 10? I don't know if there is a safe number for him.

He's taking Perez's inning this month. Which would be ok, except for the fact that Perez has been needed as an everyday starter and he's much more amusing when pitching.

Faria is worse.

:laughing

I don't like telling people that they are flat out wrong, but the shoe fits really well right here. What has Burnes done this season to say that he's a better choice than anyone to pitch in a game right now?

If he keeps throwing his splitter like that, this guy could maybe help after all.

I'm guessing 10 would do it. Too bad. I still have hope for some reason.

Yeah, that's kinda where I'm at too. I hope he has a fulltime room at their pitching lab this offseason and someone can figure out what happened to make him go off the rails so drastically. He probably has the best raw stuff in the organization, so it would be a huge shame if they can't get him right. I have hope as well.

Well, five hits is a heck of a game for Trent, but I wanted him to get that cycle...

Unsure if it was mentioned earlier, but I do not believe that anybody has ever hit for the cycle at Marlins Park. I know for sure that no Marlin has.
