Any stats on bad plays not called errors?

We've seen Ricky boot double play balls not called an error since he got one out. Is there a site that tracks that?

How about balls Fielder just misses ala Hall's great play last week of his missed scoops?

Just curious, Thanks

Stats Inc. tracks every play, givng them subjective labels like "hard play", "easy play" ext. They are not publically available, however.

A person with MLB video could go back and watch the games and do so pretty easily. How long are the compacted games? A half hour? That's 15 minutes of defense a game x 77 games. Two guys could hammer that out in a week http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

As for balls that should be DPs but aren't, unlikely. But there are large projects doing play by play defense that would tell you what a person does. But those are private and expensive. MLB is supposed to have their own play by play stats starting next year, but what it includes and if its as crappy as everything else Elias does, we'll ahev to wait to see.

Yep. I think its set for next year. They were hiring trackers for this season to give it a run through. This season's data is supposed to be released sometime after the season, likely after they tweak the system somewhat.
