Don’t know how Schwarbers slide caused Hiura to hurt his hamstring, but okay. Hiura was clearly running fine the first few dozen feet out of the box and then the hammy went on him.

How do you know it was his hamstring?

The fact that he grabbed his hamstring as he pulled up running? And even if he didn't grab at his hamstring, you don't start out running completely fine and then pull up the way he did if Schwarber had hurt him before.

Edit: And the Brewers confirm the hamstring injury on the broadcast.

100% this

Ya, and the Woodruff oblique injury had nothing to do with the massive collision with 230lb Alex Avila.

I guess it's totally 100% impossible that Hiura landing/straining awkwardly to avoid Schwarber's slide could have tweaked his hamstring. Thanks trwi7

[sarcasm]Completely impossible that it could have hurt something else, causing Hiura to overcompensate with something else, causing him to strain his hamstring. Not a chance.[/sarcasm]

My expectations were heightened after last year so I can't help being disappointed that this team ran out of gas back in July.

However, when four of the five initial members of the rotation go on the DL, (Woodruff, Chacin, Davies, Burnes) two are then banished to the minor leagues for ineffectiveness (Burnes and Peralta) and two subsequent replacement arms for the rotation also go on the DL (Gonzalez and Anderson) along with a catastrophic injury to a high leverage reliever (Knebel) and ineffectiveness of the middle relief (Barnes, Jackson, Wilkerson, Williams, Alex Wilson, Burch Smith) I guess I'm sort of mad at myself for getting disappointed in the first place.

This game was a 90%+ loss, before they even played the game. Blame Cain Aguilar Perez And Stearns. Cain and Aguilar are most at fault because of how Horrible they were or are vs LHP. Stearns is next for not improving SS at the deadline, and or getting a bat that can mash LHP, and not calling up Freitas before this Sunday.

Explain to me how Aguilar has anything to do with your 90%+ chance of a loss today...

I know this is stupid but this is an in game thread so the hell with it, but I felt this team took a nose dive after Hiura was sent down for Shaw.

I don't think that is stupid at all...That sure as hell felt like the beginning of the end to me.

This team can get hot in a hurry.

Just stop.

No I won’t stop, because, imo, it can.

It's too late. They'd have to finish like 22-6 unless they just get a lot of lucky help, and now they may be without Hiura.

It's just not going to happen this year.
