I will agree for once that this is as must-win as it gets with a month left. They need to take 2 here. Of course, if they take 3, it really doesn't matter if they go 1-5 with Houston and the 4-gamer with the Cubs.

This stretch is it though. If they go 3-6, 4-5 in these next 9 you have to think it's over. They pretty much have to get hot right now and beat superior teams.

So, not to long ago, we cut Perez, and now he is pretty much a starting member on our team. (starting at 3B today)

Do playoff contending teams waive guys, and bring them back as starters a couple weeks later?

Is our front office that confused as to the direction this team needs to be headed?

So many things wrong with this team and roster construction.

I'm a Stearns guy, but I hope a LOT of lessons were learned this season, and we don't repeat the things that obviously will keep us out of the playoffs...

The Cubs lineup today (no Bryant, Rizzo, Contreras, Heyward or Zobrist), yikes. If we can’t beat that just call it a season.

Our lineup is worse. Yelich is just ok vs LHP, I know Pina doing good vs lefties this year, but, that bottom of our lineup is beyond gross, and compounding the problem is Anderson, the worst hitting pitcher I’ve ever seen. Braun and Hiura need to rake.

Well, Moose is hurt. They tried Saladino. They’ve tried Spangenberg. And Perez on the season is .262/.292/.429/.721 vs. LHP on the season which is passable right now. He’s also hit Quintana, while not great, the 3rd best on our team. Who would you like to see there?

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

DFA Hernan for Saladino. Try to catch lightning in a bottle for Saladino. No go for Saladino.

Hernan back.

Moustakas injured.

Utility/bench guys start when a starter is injured. At least Hernan gets to hit a lefty.

Pretty understandable to me. I don't see the big crime that has been committed by the front office.

Obviously, the Brewers will try to upgrade from Perez during offseason.

Zobrist hasn't been with their team the whole year. And have you seen the way Caratini has been playing lately for them? Quintana pitches extremely well for them at Wrigley. Hopefully, get the "good" Anderson today.

You can’t win if you don’t score. And in Wrigley Field the last couple of years scoring has been the Brewers biggest problem.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I was just going to type what inning does everyone think Chase gives up his first homer...

lol

If you would have guessed the 1st, you'd have been a winner....

It was an outlier for an otherwise solid, dependable mid-to-back rotation starter. He's been one of few guys carrying his weight (for most of) this season.

The problem becomes when your solid, dependable, mid to back rotation starters are your best starters.
